They leave it up to the individual how often they take it, but it's offered each week. There's a time of prayer and reflection (after praise and worship) and you can pray where you are, go to the front for others to pray with you or go to the back to partake of communion. It's a very sweet and special time each Sunday.

Just don't partake unworthily. Or else! :lol

Isn't "as oft" talking about the three yearly holidays mentioned there? I thought Scripture said something about not making it a regular (weekly) but a "special holiday" thing?

I agree, but our present church does juice, so I'm *okay* with that. I find it WAY more authentic to actually use bread and real wine. The best communion service I was EVER in was one where we actually broke real bread and passed a cup of wine. Not for the faint of heart or the germophobes, though. It was headed up by an old ALJC preacher/teacher, Bro. Fred Gill. It was VERY special and I will never forget it. As a side note, I loved hearing that man teach. He taught for hours at a time, and even as a young, restless kid I would forget the time and sit completely captivated as he told stories and wove tapestries of scripture.

His endtime stuff was interesting, too (albeit full of holes), but I mostly enjoyed his stories from ministry and missions.

Elder Gill was indeed a great teacher.

We do it monthly at an Encounter Service on the first Wednesday night of the month. It's always a special time of reflection and celebration.

We have communion every Sunday, and at Wednesday night Life Group. It is "as oft, as the leadership has decided" it is good with me. I "oft" like to remember how Jesus came to save all from their sins.

I feel that it is a good thing to have it periodically, but not more likely than once a month at most, for fear of it becoming 'common', but not any fewer than once a year. I know that it is often paired with foot wahsing, but with foot washing following the communion. I would say that it should likely be the other way around.

I do not have strong issues yet against the issue of wine for the sake of communion.
