Re: Why I Believe In Sinless Perfection

Do people even want to live holy, perfect, sinless lives? Are they satisfied sinning? Do they enjoy sinning, in constant disobedience? Do they rather live in sin, then to be like Jesus? Do they enjoy straddling the fence, always yo-yoing, going from spiritual to carnal, carnal to spiritual? Do people really enjoy living in disobedience to God? I don't get this with people who claim to want to be more like Jesus, always fighting to stay in sin. And with them always trying to get people who are trying to walk in the spirit, to stop and sin a little, and to stop striving for perfection. Sounds more like the devil, then Christ, always saying, "Stop trying so hard, we can't live perfect in this world. It's alright, sin a little. God wants you to sin. Trying to follow the bible is to hard, God never meant for anyone to really obey His word. You're trying to do to much."

It gets a bit tiring with people always trying to tear people down, instead of build them up. Shouldn't you be trying to encourage people to go deeper in Christ, instead of trying to stilt them?

I think michaels view of sinless entails far less than my view of sinless... Michael may say he is sinless by his definition of sin but I doubt he is sinless by my definition of sin.

One would imagine that if you were to look at a detailed calender, broken down by day and hour, with the hours that one is "saved!" in red because of "sinless perfection" and the hours where one is not saved left white because of a bad thought or deed (no matter how small), it must look a lot like a T-Mobile map of the USA showing their 4G coverage at the end of the year. Eternities ultimate wheel of fortune.

Good luck with that, Michael.

Luck has nothing to do with it.

13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Romans 8:13

If one has THE SPIRIT they can overcome. If we overcome we will not die, we will live.

No one will gain immortality, eternal life some other way.

Sin entails much more than you believe it does... It's impossible to have a discussion about sinless perfection without first establishing what sin actually is.

What we need to be finding out is what is GODS view of sin.

Lets start with the verse I already wrote.

34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. 1 Cor. 15:

What does Paul mean?

This is good Sister. Things are so twisted nowadays. When we try to build people up......they think you are trying to tear them down!

To be built up is to be strong.:highfive

Yea, grace much abounds in my life.
