Colby, It's not nice to point.........just kidding dude!
Yes, Disney has done this for a little while now and it is sad...if you wanna see the best Disney movie ever...see Jungle Book, it has singing monkeys!!! "Shoo be doo, I wanna be like you oohooo, wanna walk like you, talk like you toooo"!!!!!

The movie's soul purpose is to undermine the Gospel

from pluggedin.com
"Additionally, what the movie actually has to say about death and God's role in it is careless at best. His justice is weighed against His mercy, but the dominant view seems to be based on the idea that mercy leads to absolutely no judgment and no disappointment. Thus, the Kingdom of God comes off looking a lot like the kingdom of Terabithia, a beautiful place populated by our imagination and about which it's impossible to know much. "

I recommend you go to "plugged in" or another resource prior to allowing your children or yourselves to watch any of hollywood's material. It is a great reference.

Good words from your kid, btw...

We saw Teribithia. It was a sweet story. But the language was inexcuseable. No need for it at all. I think sometimes Hollywood sticks those words in because they think people 'expect' it and it somehow 'sells'. They are soooooooooo wrong.

As far as the little girl dying: that didn't really bother me. Death and dying is something that we all have to deal with at some point in life, unfortunately. It's not the first time Disney or Hollywood has broached that subject in one of their movies. Bambi, for example.

The thing that bothered me the most was that there was a scene where the kids are in the back of a pickup either going to or coming home from church. The girl is asking alot of questions. And the answers were so sappy. Kinda like 'everybody's gonna be saved in the end anyway'. That bothered me alot!!! People will go to the movies, watch something like this and figure they don't have to worry about eternity at all because after all, 'everbody's gonna be saved in the end.'

Jeanie, you should be (and I'm sure you ARE) proud of your son!!

This is the reason that some hold such a strong stand against tv. Because the erosion is so subtle that many do not realize that they are slowly becoming desensitized to things of this world.

Totally agree with this!
