WOW.. This thread and article really hits home..This has been one of the most trying weeks of my life... My brother, who received the Holy Ghost the same night as I, was baptized in the same baptistry as I, informed me this week that he was "gay." What grief and sadness I have felt this week, but I know that God is able to deliver. I refuse to believe the the report of the enemy! I request your prayers. Thank you

Just in case you weren't aware of it, they have these same kind of folks in "other movements" as well. Heaven forbid... I guess those movements are made up of humans too.

This is a great story and your asinine comments detracted greatly from it.

Sorry you got that from my comments phil: I too, feel it's a great testimony, I was just commenting on the sad situation we have "in our ranks" of people/ministers, that so often discredit a person's salvation that comes out of a back ground like this.

There are so many that DO NOt feel homosexual's can get saved and then stay saved.

One of our posters from Indiana recently commented he doubted it could happen, as he'd never seen it.

Amen and this was profound thinking:

God came to me when I was confused and lost, alone, afraid and upset. He told me – through prayer – that I had nothing at all to be afraid of, and that I was home; I just needed to do a little house cleaning in my mind.
I believe that all people, intrinsically, know the truth. I believe that is why Christianity scares people so much. It reminds them of their conscience, which we all possess.
Conscience tells us right from wrong and is a guide by which we can grow and become stronger and freer human beings. Healing from sin and ignorance is always possible, but the first thing anyone must do is get out of the mentalities that divide and conquer humanity.

Maybe he will read this persons testimony and also I know of a UPC gay outreach ministry if you are interested. I don't know if he will check it out or not. Also there were some great books on the subject I am told, written by our own UPCers..

BTW Donnie McClurken came out of the gay lifestyle too I am told

Im sure you did not mean any harm, but perhaps Phil, like myself, is getting kind of tired of everything on this forum being done in a sarcastic way. It seems to only enflame the topic and detract from the actual discussion.

Everyone seems to think they have to be "witty" and make sarcastic and negative comments about our movement. It really gets weary

This is an excellent article and, unfortunately, one that will not make the headlines like the CNN poll regarding the question whether or not homosexuals can change.

Personally, I get very sick and tired of the homosexual agenda being crammed down my throat by every media imagineable!! I am thankful for someone telling the truth like this young man did. May he be able to reach many like he used to be to see them set free from bondage to freedom!!!!

Thanks for posting this article!!!
