Serious weather here in Omaha tonight, a tornado touched down about a mile and a half from our house.

I have some pictures, as soon as I get a chance I'll download them.

Be in prayer, please, a boy scout camp north of Omaha was hit, and they are reporting 4 fatalaties, and multiple injuries.

My wife is locked down at a TJ Maxx, my oldest son is locked down at Gold's Gym, and my youngest son was at a neighbor's and is down in their basement.

It's just Blake and me, and we're watching closely - prepared to head to the basement at any time.

We have tornados ALL and I mean ALL around us. It is really bad here and is supposed to be until 3:00 AM. Please pray, I DO NOT like storms. They had sirens going off in Salina and hail as big as baseballs. It is BAD and I am a CHICKEN!!!:reaction:reaction

It's crazy weather like what's going on that reminds me of my mother. I remember when I was a young girl in Florida, the storms would hit and the hurricanes were there.... I was so scared.... But I can to this day, remember hearing my mother sing,

anyway, I will say a prayer for all yall out there that's surrounded by this crazy weather !

Not sure what the high was at this moment but pretty soon it will be 100+ every day and will stay close to 100 at night. By Oct we will be ready for the 90 degree days. more than ready

That's how I feel! We are having rain but nothing like what the rest of the country is getting...although there were a few tornadoes in the Twin Cities last week. I don't mind the snow....tornadoes and hurricanes I can do without!

I have slept through tornadoes. I live in East Texas and tornadoes are just a part of life here. I don't wanna be right in the middle of one, don't get me wrong, but it's awesome sometimes to see nature's power and fury.

This may be TMI, but the last tornado we had here, I was in the BATHTUB!!!! I thought, "man is it raining or what" and then it got really still and then it started raining really hard again.

About 15 minutes later, I was in bed and the phone rang and it was our neighbor, he asked me if I heard the tornado and I almost freaked out!!!!! I sat straight up in the bed and yelled "TORNADO" and my hubby took the phone away from me.

A lady was killed about 4 miles from my house, while was in the BATHTUB!!!!HELLLO!!!!!! Problem here., I about croaked.

We seem to live in Tornado Alley and not hardly anyone has basements here. Something about the soil. We always had basements in Southern Illinois and I only remember one tornado all my growing up years!

WE had tornado warnings or watches all night. I've spent the evening in the basement. I put a folding chair, blanket, pillow, flashlight, bottled water etc under the basement stairway.

I do NOT like storms and believe one should be prepared!!!

I saw too much damage from storms when we were in SD. Is there anyplace with no tornadoes?? I'll move there...lol :reaction
