First, I know exactly what you mean, my daughter doesn't think I am weird because she has met a lot of her friends over the years on-line, but the rest of my family kind of looks at me like I've lost my mind. I have to constantly mentally edit before I talk, to make sure I am not throwing in too many references to conversations on the forum or talking about friends on the forum too much. It is a riot!

Second, I am getting ready to KILL your husband. KINDERGARTEN my foot!!!!

Dizzy...since I was in kindergarten and she was in HS...lol
Light...I met last Christmas, though my dad has known him for years.
ReformedDave...I saw one time in church, he was playing something with keys, I am musically illiterate.
I know a few lurkers who rarely post. There are a couple more but they would probably deny knowing me.

WHATEVER!!! If you were in kindergarten when I was in HS, it must have been because you were held back so many years!!!!! :snapout

It must have been before TCA because I went to school across town at I.H. terry's when we first moved there.

That is a true story. I am not sure if she worked there the first year or not. I think maybe the second year because the first year is when I lost my eye, and she wasn't at the school when that happened.

I almost did!! That is a moment forever etched in my brain, it actually made me question whether or not I was fit to be a parent! It happened right in front of me, and I was worthless!!

When we are going somewhere if its to meet someone new they say mom are these our real friends or our make believe computer friends? ROFL! The only one they know to be real is Rhoni and thats a long story but she has spent a lot more time with my kids so they know her as a real life friend now but the rest of yall are still just make believe ROFL

Ohhhh didn't mean to bring back bad memories!!
It is actually the greatest party trick, ever!
When I used to teach kindergarten, I would tell my kindergarteners the story and explain about being nice on the playground...
They always asked for details....

Not to mention, for a short time Andrew was subbing at the school where I work when he was waiting on Bar results... Nothing gives you more credibility with a middle schooler than being able to take out your eye!

lessons I have learned from being married to a one-eyed man...
Never ask him to keep an eye on the kids

Never ask him to keep an eye out for something

It won't work, ESPN is a staple in my house, and she could probably tell you every MLB and NFL team... I have sports addicts in the house.

Tonight I may try the "Imaginary friend" idea, though!

Sometimes I catch my self telling someone my friend said this or that, and then someone will say how long have you known them?
Sadly I have never met anyone from AFF or another message board personally,I talk to people from forums on the phone, received christmas presents from people from forums but I have yet to meet anyone from a forum personally.
I did meet a poster's husband once but that sister has since divorced that man.
