Take your prozac my friend. You have made the accusation here. Quit making up silly circumstances that don't even relate to your accusation. You are the one in the spotlight here. You made the accusation.

I will now go figure out what a yesterday night is. :nah

Eph. 4:29-32

29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Sounds like something Dwight Schrute (from The Office) would quote.

Ladies and Gentlemen of AFF,

I am the man this good Brother is speaking of.

He and I did have a sharp disageement over something he said that I felt was totally false.

I demanded an open apology.

He refused.

In an effort to influence him to do what I ask, I did pressure him; but, I never threatened to hurt him in anyway.

He called me a liar; and, I told him 'he would get a chance to call me a liar to my face'.

That was the jest of it.

My last pm to him reveal that "I meant none of what was said".
It was a big joke.
I thought we had it settled...I guess not.

I'm shocked he is still upset about it all these months later.

I offer my apologies to him; and, to all of you here.

If someone could help me get in contact with him, I would like to apolgize on the phone.

Again, it was a big joke to me....a game...

I'm shocked and ashamed that what I did (tic) has caused him so much anguish.

respectfully,

jp

Threatening someone and then saying it was a joke to get outa it... and then asking how to get in contact with the person who you just threatened... Maybe your just not thinking things through lol.

What it sounds like to me is that you threatened him to try and get him to comply. If you were doing the threatening as a joke to just see what he would do that is one thing. But you pretty much just said it was to pressure him into doing what ya wanted. Then when things still didn't work out for you, you then called it a joke. A joke is a much different thing than what you did. When you made those threats it doesn't sound like you were trying to get a laugh out of the situation...

The real question we need answered to help determine if it was a joke or not, what would you have done if your joking threats got him to apologize?

Thank you for pointing that out to me.

I was aware of it; but, I JUST found out about; and, wanted to try to 'fix' this thing.

Thank you again,

I know it seems as though I tried to use the 'joke excuse' after it went too far; but, that is not the case.

In my mind it was two guys bumping heads.

I never intended for it to get out of hand.

It did. That's my fault. I want to make it right.

That's what I'm supposed to do...right???

It was a 'big hahahaha' to me.

Several of my friends were 'watching' the entire thing.

At the time, they thought it was funny watching him 'react' the way he did.

Regardless, of who is at fault, I take all the blame; and, I would like the opportunity to speak to this Brother about it; and, convey my apologies to him.

Forgive me for resurrecting something that happened so long ago; but truthfully, I thought after my final 'pm' to him everything was 'brought to light'; and, everything was alright.

I had no idea he was still upset over it.

I just want to make it right...that's all.

NP. Everybody already knows that you and that CAF forum are all a bunch of "trouble makers!" http://www.apostolicfriendsforum.com...ons/icon10.gif

j/k ... I've got at least a couple of good friends who post there and several folks that I admire. We'll fight like cats and dogs if the mood is right, but they're still good men.

I'm sure 1Cor has figured out the nuances of the exchange by now and has moved on. I hope.

This is one man's feeble attempt to 'right a wrong' done to a brother.

That's all I want to do.

If I am refused that opportunity here, I will seek out other ways.

Please understand. I am not trying to hurt anyone.

All I want to do is 'apologize'.

I am not putting any blame on this young man.

I take it all; but I deny threating him with harm.

Pressed him???...yes.

For that, was wrong.

I hope you are correct in this.

Troublemakers???????hehehhahahahaaa

You are right; but, I must inform you.

I had gotten off of CAF in Jan.

I was on NO FORUMS for this very reason of the constant 'troublemaking'.

The way I found out about this brother's anger with me???

I saw parts of his post on google search.

I didn't recognize his 'name' here.

I knew him by another name over there; but it was painfully obvious, he was speaking of me.

I thought he had I had 'settled' this way back.

I was wrong.

Now that I know he is still upset with me, I want to at least try apologize.

Let me answer it now.

First of all, there were NO THREATS to him.

The thing that got him was when he called me a liar...I told him he would get the chance to call me a liar to my face.

At the time, I didn't know he was from Ca.

I thought he was from St. Louis.

Further, I didn't know I was dealing with a young man.

I thought he was a Pastor.

I didn't know him; nor, anyone I knew...knew him.

One might read into this anything he would like.

This is one man's feeble attempt to 'right a wrong' done to a brother.

That's all I want to do.

Fair enough. Ya sound sincere. I do believe your final pm may have straightened out the whole situation. I don't know the exact timeline, but as prax and david have already pointed out, he posted his comments here about 6 months ago. So if your last pm came after these posts it appears he may have very well just not said anything on here about the issue with you being resolved.

Brother,

I sincerely hope you are right.

I have wondered today whether or not he even got my past 'pm'.

If he did not, it would explain much of this turmoil.

Thank you for your kind consideration of this matter.

From the way his post read, either he didn't believe my final post; or, he neve got it.

Either way, I feel responsible for this mess; and, I feel I owe him an apology for the entire thing.

Thanks,

I saw that.

One of the reasons I am so desperate to reach him.

Our conflict was over 1 1/2 ago...I think:)

That's way too long for something like this to go on; and, I am the only one who can 'fix' it.

If anybody knows him; or, is willing to get a message to him, tell him what I desire.

Give him my phone number: ***edited out, Sent him your cell number, you should never post in public a phone number or an address***

It's a cell; so, it will be a free call.

Thanks for you help

By the way its quite inspirational to see someone wanting to right past wrongs.

He said he got the 'a text' to call my number.

Thanks for trying.
