My point exactly...

I can live in a pagan dominated world and yet maintain biblically based worship.

Are you saying anyone having Easter egg hunts is worshipping?

The question is "Should apostolic churches have easter egg hunts?"

So what we are speaking of here is apostolic churches having easter egg hunts correct?

So the egg hunt is a part of the easter celebration correct?

Then it would seem that they have made an easter egg hunt a part of their easter service.

At any rate... they have indeed chosen to make an easter egg hunt a part of the days service at the church house.

Of course they do........and Apostolics at that!

We had egg hunts for our kids, and enjoyed Christmas too. But they knew there was no bunny or santa.

I haven't read any of the posts on this thread except this page. With that said, we do an egg hunt AFTER worship service for the children. I have no problem with the kids hunting for and finding candy enclosed in plastic eggshaped contianers. If there is a pagan connection, I don't know what it is. I do know that the Jews use an egg as part of the Pssover Seder plate. It represents springtime, new life. It is a shaodw of the new life brought on by the Exodus as a result of Passover and it represents the new life brought on by the blood of the New Testament. Its no big deal if the pagans also used eggs for pagan practices.

Meditation was not invented by the Hindus or Buddists. Thousands of years befire these religions God taught His people to meditate on the law day and night. Just because eastern religions adopted meditation as a part of their religious practices doesn't negate the value of Biblical meditation. I practice meditation in my prayer time. I don't burn incense or cross my legs. But I close my eyes and ponder the Word of God, my thoughts of Him, I listen for His still small voice.

The egg is harmless. We used it before the pagans did. Don't sweat the small stuff.

Things like this really bother some and doesn't bother others. Not trying to be offensive to anyone. The question was asked and I answered it.

well... if some know it bothers others then why not prefer your brother to yourself and choose to celebrate life January 20th? .... because it IS about easter if you chose to have an egg hunt on Jan.20 or july 1st people would think your crazy lol:aaa
