I understand what she was saying. It was a previous poster who said lipstick on a bulldog. But the joke was not about a bull dog but a pit bull. Big difference as I have a bull dog. It is her that is wearing lipstick. That is not what I was making reference to. I just corrected her saying it was NOT a bull dog but a pit bull. big difference. One has huge lips, that is a bull dog. Have you ever seen a bull dog laying on its back? Their lips hang.

I found this clip of Pastor Mangun preaching on baptism in Jesus Name. Its not very thorough, but see no allusion here to any other name other than a specific baptism in the name of Jesus Christ.

In this next clip he is even MORE emphatic about NOT baptizing in the titles but in the specific name of JESUS CHRIST. I see no even minor allusion to him alluding to baptizing the way you understood him to baptize in Plano.

Should he go back and rebaptise all those he baptised using the phrase that I described? Or was that effective because of the faith of baptised, inspite of what the baptiser spoke over them?

Yes, as a high profile minister in the shadow of his parents, he will confirm the party line more boldly. Just maybe he was following the leading of the Spirit earlier?

I know it hhas been several days since the last post but I found this on the churches website. I don't know if anyone posted this since I didn't want to read through twenty pages of posts.
The Easter morning service on march 23rd 2008 the pastor preaches the acts2:38 Baptism in Jesus Name. listen from the 28 minute point on. They have video of Baptisms where they pronounce "upon the confession of your faith I Baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, In Jesus Name" then they Baptize them. Someone questioned the validity of Baptisms if something was wrong with the Baptizer, What really matters is the heart of the Baptizee.

In the early 1900's when the first person was Baptized in Jesus Name, was the Baptism done right way since the very first was Baptized by someone Baptized in the titles and hadn't been baptized in Jesus Name? Did the first person then have to be later Rebaptized afterwards by somone that was Baptized in Jesus Name?
