I certainly don't take up for LW... Whatever he has done he will have to deal with the Lord on...

Seems like I am having to take up for sinners that we won't let repent.. If they do a lot of y'all wouldn't believe them...

Repentance includes humility.

He has shown none.

God only knows the kids whose lives are a wreck because of him and his vile behavior.

A sin that public and that far reaching demands a repentance that is at least somewhat public.

The man you are taking up for didn't repent.

He just went charismatic and kept on truckin.

I am glad you said it, 'cause I was sure thinking it.

Coon

maybe if you would elaborate on this point it may open the minds and heart of those that are in support of him.

But back to my first posts to you... You haven't answered it..

We can't stand the doctrine of once saved always saved... But it sounds to me like you prescribe to the doctrine of once a sinner always a sinner...

What's worse...

I don't accept sin at all... But just because he is looked upon as a homo doesn't mean he is one...

With the attitude you are portraying, I would not want you to come to my church because I have siners that have been saved by grace in my congregation and I wouldn't want someone to call them by what they used to be...

I have spoken to the man on the phone briefly, and have a close source that admittted that he is as gay as a 3 dollar bill. He not only damaged some lives, but brought shame to a college, and to an organization, and to the body of Christ. NOONE has any recollection of his repenting of this sin. IF just one person even knew one person that had heard that he had repented and turned from his sin, we would not be having this conversation.

What you don't seem to get is that I am not against the man, but the sin of homosexuality. If we were discussing a drunk, then I would be just as passionate. Don't take my distain for the sin as an indication that i hate the man, or wish to see him lost. I do not. But I as well think we are too quick to put someone into a ministry position because of novelty or talent, and turn the blind eye to their character.

Elaborate?

Sure.

There are quite a few sexually confused young men who became homosexuals after being mentored in the fine art of queerdom by our hero.

I dont think anyone is supporting HIM..I'm certiantly not. I wouldnt go to any event where he was performing...nor would I support any group that had him...ever!

I think Pastor G is taking the side of the "sinner"....

perhaps there is no personal connection with pastor G and he's playing devils advocate?

He hasn't repented, or hasn't repented that you know of, or hasn't repented in the way you think he needs to?

CS, I know the man, and personally don't care for him... Y'all can rag on him all you want to, but I have seen it with, what we all would consider "backsliders" in general... We label them for their what their sin was that got them out, whether they are still involved in it or not..
