I think it can be silly to believe it, yes. It also can be harmful, in some cases. You might think it's harmful only when misinterpreted, but nobody -- and I mean nobody -- can definitively say whether it has been interpreted correctly in any particular case.

Case in point: is MtheD misinterpreting it when he declared that the tornadoes were sent by God?
