Being new to this forum, I would like to add my humble story. When my mother and father backslid back in 1977 my mother thought that as a 14 y/o boy I still needed some godly influence. She brought home my first Lanny Wolfe Trio album. It was a double live album at that. That album brought me through a lot of trial as a young man trying to live for God on his own. I looked to Marietta Wolfe as a godly woman even though I had never met her nor have I met her yet. Because of her godly example, I chose a woman with the same godly appearance and married her just 4 years after my mother brought that album home. I also have raised my two daughters by that same godly example. I now have every album, as far as I know, that Lanny Wolfe has made with the exception of his newer ones. Their godly music would ring through the night when I felt alone. I will alway be grateful for their music and example. I do not condone what he has done, but I now pastor a church and my wife and I continue to sing the songs that were penned by Lanny Wolfe. My daughters now 25 and 23 sing their songs as well. Their songs are timeless and will always invoke a spirit of worhip whenever they are sung. I wish there was a way that I could somehow get ahold of a way to contact Marietta Wolfe-Webster and let her know the impact that she had on my life. I would probably go to a concert if they were in our area just because of the impact their music made in my life. God bless!
