Actually she now does bring her current husband. Initially she didn't want him to come because he is black, and she feared what folks would be saying.

i was not able to go....my son had his tonsils taken out thursday. many from our church went. said it was a packed house and was great!

I was there, heard, and saw. My observations:

Marietta was anointed, even more so than she ever was. Her face shown with the glory of the Lord and she worshipped, praised, and danced before the Lord. She flew in by herself, but she had many members of her family there to see and visit with her.

Dave Peterson and his wife Bonita worshipped and praised and Dave even danced before the Lord. It was good to see them.

Lanny was Lanny and he entertained and patted himself on the back quite a bit.

My thoughts: I am sorry that the Apostolics could not truly accept and invite the trio into their midst. Grace and mercy is reserved for the AOG, and other denominations. There were a few of us there and I sat there thinking... I wish the spirit and worship with the old songs we cut our teeth on could be delivered in our churches. Unfortunately we have no room for error, sin, or second chances within our ranks. How unlike Jesus this truly is.

The song...Family of God was sung and bittersweet to me. I think Marietta testified and preached in a very mature manner. The things she has been through has prepared her for the ministry that she is in now. I just bet she is a woman of God filled with passion, compassion, mercy and forgiveness. He face shown with the anointing of one who truly knows and understands.

For the JCM'ers and missionaries who know her: I was approached by a female at the concert and she just knew she knew me...I told her my name. She said she was Sharonica Meyers. It was so good to see her there. It has been over 30 years.

I think she was at the JCM reunion in 2005; I know I saw her somewhere recently. She was such a hoot in Bible College!
