I'll tell you what I have been at funerals lately where the women wear dressed anything but modest.I know outside of grace people don't have Holiness, but still common sense teaches one to be respectful at funerals.

...Well. The bagpipe playing in and of itself sent me into a very inappropriate and untimely fit of giggles...our church isn't huge, it certainly isn't a hillside in Scotland, and when that guy fired up and started down the aisle, I nearly lost it. To make it worse, apparently there was some huge sentimental value to the poor deceased saint's grown granddaughter who was sobbing the whole time, which added to my amusement. (Yeah, I was sittin' up front by the organ, in plain sight...my best friend elbowing me in the ribs.) I had to bite my tongue till it nearly bled to stop myself from ruining the funeral and my somber, appropriate image. :D

Word To The Wise: Bagpipes are great if they're about a block or more away. Any closer than that...:bolt

TOO FUNNY! At cousin in law's funeral. Daughter was sitting on front row, in front of my son (her cousin), crossed her legs....NO UNDERWEAR! My poor "new to ministry" son's eyes almost popped out of his head!

If I had known THAT while we were listening to "I'm checkin' outta here", I would have pulled a Miss Brattified! LOL

The worst I have seen is when we were at my DIL's mother's wake and a teenage girl came in and sat in front of us in running shorts! My husband still comments on what people wear to funerals.

Seriously!! And I just remembered looking over yesterday and there sits this guy holding a Starbucks cup and sipping it during the funeral!! It really was a weird day!

The really beautiful thing about this story is that my brother was able to give a moving and relevant thought without trying to put Michael in Heaven or Hell.
Dizzy your Bro. is da man, that is the second time in a year that I know of he has had to do this type of thing.:runhills

Yeah, I was really proud of him, he definitely is my "big" brother in spirit, if not in age!
