Good riddance. The man was a drunk and committed manslaughter. No joy in his death, but won't be mourning him as some great politician.

And who was first to make his death political? Pelosi, of course. She immediately linked his death to "passing health care reform this year".

My dad, my grandfather (on both sides) and my great grandfather were bootleggers -but that alone does not describe who they are.

Well.... when I see the media in many cases make him out to be some great man.... sorry I will be right beside them shouting what a disaster this man was for America and it's politics. The media can create a impression on what was acceptable and say "well let's just focus on the good things" Well, sorry but who he is is not just good things.

Brother, you have really been preaching your warped message all over this forum as of late.

Just remember the senator supported abortion and had a large part in it remaining legal.
He is answering to God for that now.

There are some people I just can't feel sorry for. Capiche? This is newsworthy, but it certainly didn't cause a tear to come to my eye. If that makes me bad, so be it.

The Kennedys have had a lot of tragedies, many brought upon their own heads, in my opinion. I don't believe that families can be cursed, but I DO believe they can espouse an acceptance of immorality and a lack of character through generations which will define their lives--and their deaths.

Does it offend you that God has the power and the love to eventually redeem Senator Kennedy? (BTW: I was regularly offended by his politics)

I'm just a simpleton, crakjak; I believe what the Word says:

Luke 13:24-28
...Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
...When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
...Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
...But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
...There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

Why would we ever seek to convert anyone, if everyone will be saved in the end? Is there any purpose to evangelism, or any reason we should live a devoted life to Christ?
