Well you must have a bunch of good sheeples who follow all the rules, but I was questioning to many things.

So I was having the better listen to Spiritual authority Bible studies with the Associate Pastor.

I was made to sit and give up my ministries inside the church. I had the pastors family telling me that doom would befall me because I was going against Spiritual authority and that I had the Jezebel Spirit which is hearken to witch craft.

I had sermons preached about me by my pastor and by visiting pastors. How do I know my pastor told me.

You know don't touch the Lords anointed and watch yourself like Korah I can be swallowed up by the ground for rebellion. Is this what accompanies the truth??? If that is the truth then I would druthers believe a lie. There is more and I can go on but I don't need to pick that scab. What a joke.

No and I resent your belligerent attitude and your sweeping generalization about Oneness Pentecostals or UPCers. You are being dishonest when you do that.

You came here with a presumption that you would not do that and you have fallen in line like every other hater.

You think folks who tell of spiritual abuse within oneness pentecostalism are making the stuff up? I don't think they are for I've had some of the same experiences myself. As far as presumptions, please don't presume that those who had the negative experiences are "haters". Maybe some are but most aren't, they're just speaking from a position of pain and hurt, not hate. I've had very good experiences within oneness pentecostalism and I've had very bad experiences within oneness pentecostalism and I speak of both at times, but when speaking of the bad experiences it's not hate speech and I don't think it is with most individuals.

If you read what I posted then you know I never said anyone made something up.

Ok.

In case it's not clear the point was it does not happen at my church and no not because we are all perfect like Navy sarcastically insinuated.

What is a sweeping generalization? That's a logical fallacy of someone applying a generalized description or attribute to the whole rather than limiting it to just their experience...

In this case it was not about a church but the entire UPC or all Oneness Pentecostals and I get sick of some of you guys doing that then later innocently saying you were not meaning all the UPC.

Why do I say that? Because your comments are about THE UPC not "this UPC I went to"

And when someone in the UPC testifies their church is not like that, rather than respond in a manner that suggests it IS like that but that everyone is towing the line and but would happen if someone didn't the response should be "you are correct, it does not happen in all UPC churches"

Sometimes it's overt and sometimes it's subtle but it is very unmistakable

BTW the more I read that the more I understand how some might feel it comes from a bitter spirit. Say "I have no stones to throw" but the facts seem to suggest otherwise

Maybe instead of a sweeping generalization it may be more accurate to say that it's not uncommon.

why not generalize at all since we can never know what the percentage is?

Maybe those who generalize are actually expressing it not being uncommon.

For what its worth, when I typed that I was at low blood sugar and my AFIB was acting up. I did not filter what I typed, but right or wrong I painted with a broad brush but I won't duck from what I said.

I am glad that your church is not like that, maybe your the pastor and you set the tone for the church.

Before it happened to me I would have said the same thing; "my church is not like that".

I can't tell you that it happens in all UPC churches but it happens and it happens more than what you think. To many people from across the country have told the same story.

Bro you have those on here who post about God wrapping somebodies car around a tree or that God is going to punish us men who have taken our wives out of UPC and have convinced them to cut their hair.

We don't all make these things up and more and more these things are now coming to the light. Books have been written about Spiritual abuse and for good reason. There is a under lying theme.

UPC was good to me because I got saved in a UPC church, met my wife at a UPC church, watched my daughter get the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence at a UPC church and I thought I had friends for life until we got shunned at a UPC church.

We are not all bitter and we are not all liars. Sometimes the truth sucks!

Now that my sin has been pointed out to me I am going to get out of the UPC hater line. :bigbaby
