Yeah... but no pepperoni...or sausage. No cheese, or sauce. No crust or any toppings. Oh...I guess I didn't want pizza, after all. Never mind

Who would I need to speak to about using this forum as elective (or possibly even assigned) reading in a developmental reading class? Think of all that could be learned by all the innocents from character studies of some of the ...er..."characters" here. JUST KIDDING - but you know, this might be The Canterbury Tales of centuries in the future. This is better than "newspaper in the classroom."

Are you suggesting we are developmentally challenged?

No, sir....Just thinking that this forum might be used as reading material for a developmental reading class - but then thought "better of it" ...

yup, just think, historians a thousand years hence will read these words and debate vehemently about the cause of THE SPLIT when AFF (pronounced aaaaaffffffe in the future) priests departed and formed Delastaffloss, or steladoplos (whatever. Who knows how that is even pronounced now).

All Hail aaaaaaaafffffe.....

Much of the time, they want to be on the computer - either interneting or gaming, so a forum like this might work. Think about it - a character study of Thad, DanielA or even better Evang.Benincasa. I'd love to hear a presentation of a critique of their posts and character development over the past few months. I'm trying to catch up on reading posts myself. I may recommend this forum to a friend who needs to get some students into reading....Nawww, I AM JUST KIDDING - but I had this wild thought: Would it work??

That isn't a research paper, that is a doctoral dissertation.

To clarify, it could apply to most anyof us, not just those listed.

I think it would work - I could probably give you a character assessment on several posters!

There are a lot of great posters on here.

My beef is with PRAX and anyone else that try to act like Thad and Dad were not major contributors to the forum.

Thad is a very big part of why people come to AFF.
Dan was the top poster (though Prax is trying to overtake him)
I'm not arguing or complaining about the action taken against Dan.
I'm simply stating that both will be missed.........A LOT!

Oh brother.

And if you believe the hype (some call them lies) they must all be Ultra Cons too

Felicity 01-04-2008 09:40 PM

I'd like to know what makes a poster a "key" poster. ???

I can think of a number who I would put in that category but it's not based necessarily on volume or whether or not they're controversial either.

Nope...not what I heard....you must be an Ultra Con because there was a crack down and a purging going on where the non UCs were all banned

I agree with Felicity. I can name several posters that can say more in a 10 posts than other posters could say in 1000 posts.

I enjoy many posts by what ever title people use. We live and learn from each other. I like to read about real life experiences and guess that is why I usually use real life...

Felicity 01-04-2008 09:44 PM

I should start a list .....

**Felicity's List of Key Posters**
