Barb, if my son decides to go to Baker College in the fall (in Flint), can he join your Hungry Howie's once in a while? That way I'd know he was eating something besides fast food once in a great while. LOL!!!

I'm getting ready to go shower so I can take my mom to Aldi's today. And since I have a bunch of free cards ($15 for Best Buy, $20 for Office Max, $10-$35 off at Catherine's, etc) I might make mom stop with me at those places too. PLUS I see that Lifeway Christian Bookstore has a great sale going - lots of books for $10 and $5.00!! So for sure we're gonna stop there. What I really should be doing is shopping for new mattresses for our bed. But that just doesn't even sound like fun. So I think I'll wait a couple of weeks until Walt can go with me and do that.

My daughter and her fiance are visiting me this weekend!

She cooked dinner last night and is going to do all the cooking while she's here - - this is a first! She's doing a great job though!!

We went this morning to our seamstress for her to try on her wedding dress and be fitted - - she looks beautiful in it!!!!

Good morning yall!!!

Its been a Barb morning around here for sure too! But actually mine is just yesterday completed... My girlfriend came over last night to help me clean out my garage the original intent was just to rearrange the boxes and place them... this started at 4 yesterday afternoon.... Well I got into the garage about 430 to check on her and she had different plans... since I am unable to lift or move anything I got out there and she already had 10 boxes unpacked and in piles for me to go thru... so we went thru every box and bucket in my garage...finished doing that including a few trips to walmart for organizational stuff in the middle of the night and placing everything back and 2 trips to the laundrymat for some comforters that had gotten wet in a box and all was completed at 530 am...

Then in the midst of this my best friend and her family came down from oklahoma so we visited and they were really just here to take her son to the airport so I didnt have to entertain that much as they needed rest and so that took a load off... then when the kids got up I made breakfast and then we headed out to take my oldest 2 to a salt (student achieving leadership training) outing to the circus (they are doing this as they head all the power hours and VBS and the clowns wanted to go and get some pointers etc) and then came back long enough to see my Best friend off to the airport and now my day is all mine!!!YAY!!!!

Cut the grass this morning, had a nice conversation with a friend, fixed the master shower.

after lunch we are going to ride Thomas the train. Then we are going to Grapevine mills mall to eat at the Rainforrest Cafe.


Lots of fun to be had by all!

Tomorrow after church we are going with the extended family to the Dallas Arboritum for a picnic!

Is Lil' Ferd big into Thomas? I remember my boys were at that age. BIG TIME! We have huge boxes of Thomas, Percy, Gordon, etc., etc., etc., And every Thomas movie ever made!!

He has Geo-Trax in two huge rubbermaid boxes!

We have Geo Trax in a huge rubbermaid box outside to get rid of !!!! So glad I dont have to store that no mo!!! That is if my friendly neighborhood snoops havent taken it along with everything else they have been helping themselves too outside today!

It is indeed an offer! I have to wait till one of my kids get home to get them as I just had another thingy done on my back and cant go move em..so say a nice long prayer that they dont get taken before they get home in about an hour... and otherwise they are indeed yours!

Whew!!! Another task down! Me and 2 of the kids *my youngest and my nephew* have just spent the last hour we took my bed apart and put a new bedskirt on it and then we put some of those riser things you can buy for the beds under it... and now I have a place for allllllll my shoes!!!! My husband was complaining he couldnt get into the closet anymore so I went and got a unit thing for my shoes to build into the wall.. but it was too big so I just got the riser things.. put them under my bed and then the box my treadmill came in... hubby has been saving it for God knows what... so I took it and have made underbed storage out of it!!!!!!!! Its a cali king bed so plenty of room and still had room for a rolling drawer which I am putting all my sweaters I have packaged in spacebag cubes... in the rolling drawer.. WHEW!!!! Its been an awesome day I actually feel halfway organized!!!

The meal is completed, some have come and gone, my nieces cleaned up, and Aunt Barb is beat...but it was all good. They ate until they hurt and loved the cook, so I am pleased!! :bliss

HELLO STRANGER! we did have fun at the lake. that was last weekend...lol
we went to see Casting Crowns tonight. they were good. we just saw them in Oct. same concert, but my husband LOVES them! so i was a good wife and went with him :-)

As I mentioned yesterday, one of my brothers is here from Indiana with his family...they are leaving tomorrow morning.

Today we went with another brother to his church and it was WONDERFUL!! :bliss

Pastor W preached about 'Great Faith', and the choir sang as only they can...Sis. Renee' W is tremendous!! :bliss
