No I wont go to LW concert reunions... why? For the same reason I wont go to my dads 1936 high school reunion (not that old but same diff) its nothing but a bunch of old folks to some and nothing that we grew up in.. thats why we dont go... Some its nostalgia ... some its things we just heard of here and there and yea we enjoyed some of the music.. most of it was over before we were that age.. the ones I speak of.. thats why we wont go... Its not an issue.. But as my husband says... I am a minister. Not an archaeologist

You have it all wrong with my dad's situation.

It was his knowledge of X and things getting looked over.

That is the reason "he" left.

JCM heyday was pre 1995.

I agree with you that JCM's "heyday" was definitely pre 1995.

Mostly what JCM did not surivive was the metamorphosis from a lib school to an ultra con one in the Keith Clark era. At the time he was an extreme even within the UPC with his no video stance and banning sports, etc. That caused JCM to have an identity crisis. Of course the prior upheavals with TLC purging the lib teachers and LW's problems were also huge mileposts in it's decline also. Not to mention that at the time IBC came along and filled the void as THE place to bre for UPC young people wanting to go to Bible College (somehow KC's grim picture of what life should be was just not appealing).

Why do all the JCM reunions have the 50 plus crowd show up?

Where are the 30 somethings?

The last JCM reunion was geared towards the 1974-1984 years. We chose a ten year period to keep the reunion more focused.
