Matthew 8:16-17 When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. [17] This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.”

Matthew 14:35-36 And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding country. People brought all their sick to him [36] and begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched him were healed.

Jesus healed people before the book of acts-

My question would be does God respond to correct doctrine or does he respond to faith?

again, not saying that God is not doing his thang. But if no one is hearing sound doctrine, then is anything eternal taking place?

Do you people really really realize it is God doing these healings and not the man???? People begin to look too much to man and not enough towards the divine healer! I do not doubt God can and does use people like this but first of all there is a lot missing.. second of all... is this another benny hinn we are dealing with? Oh wait... Forgot we have the BH cheerleading section here too ROFL! My bad... just think about it..

I for one think anyone can pray for the sick, and should pray for the sick as God leads them.

I think sometimes people stumble over WHO is praying for them-like"Oh I am not going to get my healing by Sister So-n -SO prayin for me because her life is a mess-" I mean because we know the person so well, we dont think God will use them.

But if Brother Big Name Evangelist prays for me then I will be healed!--and sometimes are because they have more faith when he prays for them- so I see your point--

OK, I'll get ready to dodge the rocks, bricks, tomatoes, etc. that may be flung my way
but,
in my opinion,
God is more interested in our heart than He is in our head.

Matt I know several people who were healed in trinitarian churches but came to the knowledge of One God and Acts 2:38--their healing was a stepping stone to more.

Ok I will give you that... but I also know many who have been healed in these type services lakeland/hinn and they do not come to know the truth and all they become is freak followers of these people and follow them around from service to service with more added ailments or trying to get their healings...

Sometimes these people become so puffed up it ends up being nothing but an Me Me Me thing and God quickly gets removed from the mix

No, I am saying that anytime faith meets up with a promise, something will happen. But a natural healing, and being born again, are not the same thing.

IF we apostolics have truth, and the Holy Ghost, it would be in our best interest, and the best interest of Gods kingdom, to have healings, miracles, new birth, and sound doctrine. We tend to want to look outside of truth to find God. As Verbal Bean stated years ago, "Why can't we have holiness, and doctrine........ and signs and wonders"
