99% of what this forum labels we One Steppers as missing the mark.

We not argue over your steps.

It is at what step the belief that Christ died for our sins brings initial salvation.

One step or three steps we are none saved until our days be complete and we are in Christ.

The one steppers do follow many of the three steppers in the process.

It is just what step does the salvation process start.

Many here should really be 4 steppers.

Since "standards" are such a protective part of your staying in the race..

Without the standards remember you would be outside the protection of Christ.

Thus "standards" would be step 4.

Not a bash just a comment since we "PAJC" one Step crowd get bull dozed without full understanding of our position.

We are talking initial salvation. IF that is the case anyone who is not OSAS would be 4 steppers as one must endure to the end. Living a Holy life is part of salvation as person must walk in the light as he is in the light to have have the blood of Christ in his life.

Not at all. You're erroneously blending two different issues here.

Although both say they believe in Acts 2:38, the one-stepper position says that one is saved after repentance....while the 3-stepper does not believe that repentance alone accomplishes Bible salvation. In a nutshell, that is the key distinction between the two sides.

But just because a 3-stepper leaves all final decisions in God's hands, allows for the possibility that God may choose to make individual exceptions according to his will, and chooses not to "condemn people to certain damnation", that does NOT mean he is advocating "essentially the one stepper position".

If I must be labelled, label me a One Stepper in that I believe (as I believed before I ever heard of AFF) that my sins were forgiven when I repented of my sins. I was baprtized in Jesus Name, quite frankly, because I was told thats what new Christians do. I had no idea at the time, what baptism is, was, or what it was for. It was only afterwards that I came to know that baptism signifies the departure from my old life of sin and the beginning of a new walk with Christ. It is the symbolic burial of the "old man and his deeds" which "died" at repentance and is the preparation to be raised in newness of life thru the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

Not all three-steppers preach Acts 2:38 or hell.
Some say the three steps are necessary to be born again, to be in the church, to be in the rapture, or to be in the kingdom of God but that everyone else will be judged at the Great White Throne and those who have walked in all the light they had will receive eternal life. This teaching is some times called the Light Doctrine and is some times called the Holy, Righteous, and Wicked doctrine. It was taught by Bishop Haywood and has been taught to the ministry in at least one Bible School (ABI in St. Paul, MN)

This has become a trick question of sorts, and now demands a qualified answer.

When the people heard the gospel on the day of Pentecost, and were convicted asked the question of Peter and the Apostles, 'what shall we do'........Peter told them to repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus, and receive the Holy Ghost.

I don't think I have the authority to change the answer. It's just as important (and simple) as it was back then.
