I love Ohio's Miami Valley. You get the best of every season. You have nice mild Springs, hot steamy Summers, mild Autumns, and cold snowy Winters. Never had a serious earthquake, never had a volcano, never had a hurricane, we have a few tornados occasionally, but normally nothing significant. I think the worse we saw was near here in Xenia Ohio, but that was like in the 60's or 70's. They have a far better early warning system now and better strategies regarding shelters. I love it here. I love Ohio.

Ohio, "With God, all things are possible."

Denver, San Diego, and Seattle, apparently.

Oh yeah, got it. I am so happy for you.:D
Wish I could have gone with you.

Cindy, Walt's dad took us all to Hawaii when Keith was 2 years old and Justin was 6. It was the most wonderful place I have ever been or ever hope to be. I could retire there in a heartbeat!! Except for the prices. WHEW!! Velveeta cheese was $10!! We were paying $3.99 for the same thing at that time here in the mainland. YOW!!! But pineapple was cheap, cheap, cheap :)

Save your money and go there. It'll be worth every dime. Believe me on this one!

Umm, Aquila, don't we have a good therapist here on AFF? You might want to check in with her and schedule a session. OHIO weather??? Nah, nothing good about it, pal. You're talking to a woman who is looking out her window at over 24" of snow in my front yard right now. And my feet are FREEZING!!!

There has to be someplace better than this. The only reason we stay is because Walt's job is here, our family is here and our friends are here. Now if we could get those three segments of our lives to pick and move with us, we'd be outa here in a nano second!

You are one wacked out looney dude, for sure. But then, all of my Ohio experiences involved humidity. I hate humidity.
