Anyone want to take a stab?

NOW, I understand. It just sounded like an indictment on all Christianity, that's all. There will always be wackos, and this particular fellow is notorious for saying stupid things. As a whole though, Christians have been exceedingly gracious. There will always be skeptics.

It's so easy for us to claim such things when it's "Out of sight, out of mind".

Michael, do you have children? A wife? Do you love the souls of suffering men and women, or are they just cannon fodder for your idea of God's judgement?

May God's Mercy be upon these poor people who are suffering beyond our wildest dreams. May our hearts break in two for this tragedy that has fallen upon human beings, and people that God loves.

For God so loves the World!

Sorry if my words seem tough, but I've come from a very abusive church background, where "God's Judgement" was used to deploy dark manipulation. The problem with these kind's of statements, is there no limit to where they can go, and they create devious "Witch Hunts".

Slow down a minute guy. I was not rejoicing that people were killed in Haiti. Years ago I had a radio ministry TO HAITI. I have shared the gospel with them.

I was reacting to the initial post. As one who DOES believe the God of scripture judges nations for sin my thinking is the world hates the people of God anyway. Yeshua said this. He said if we simply live godly in Christ they will hate us. So IF a judgment may be seen as being from YHWH I dont think we have to run away from mentioning that it could have been HIM.

There is scripture that tells us God is GLORIFIED in judgment. If we start from the position that its sinful and shameful to believe God punishes nations for sins we will never understand the events that are going to come to pass on Earth in the times to come.

So my stand is that a Christian should not be condemning God for something he takes credit for doing countless times in scripture.

Well I agree this is a tragedy and I support our country's effort in responding. But why is Hati and Africa, for that matter, so poor?

Does anyone know anymore details about this pact with the devil?

Yes, whackos. That guy in Kansas or wherever, that protests at soldiers funerals and puts up signs that "Gof hates f--s" is a whacko. But Pat Robertson? He's an internationally accepted spokesman for the Christian Community. Same with James Dobson when he issues a list of stores that Christians can't shop at during Christmas because their employees are mandated to say "Happy Holidays." It's embarrassing. That's the gist of what I'm trying to say.

But unfortunately, millions of Christians will keep sending in their donations to the 700 club.

Guys like Robertson and Falwell hurt the cause.

How about when the Pope made the comment that the Roman Catholic Church was the only way to heaven? Did you feel that the pontif was going to bring a bligght on Christianity?

Stop using the WE word, and come out from among them. That way you will never be confused as being a part of the 700 Club crew.

Make sure you shed those labels. Hey, write a letter to Pat and tell him that you will no longer support him.

Greatly hurts our efforts? So now we have the problem, what is YOUR solution? What would you like to do about this?

Please I await your remedy.

What New Testament judgment would you be speaking of? Revelation?

Fallwell has passed on. So easy now.
Robertson and Dobson should not be in the same sentence. Dobson is using his influence in the civic area -- not my passion, and not really the Missio Deo, but more power to him. His ministry at FOTF has been ENORMOUSLY helpful for Christians worldwide.

700 Club. Well, people know the things he's saying. I'm sad they keep funding him too.

And where is the evil in these words?

Let them hate us. If the story be true it makes sense.

Yeshua foretold we would be hated of all nations. Its going to happen whether someone speaks inaccurately on a subject or not.

On the other hand MANY scriptures speak of God punishing nations for sin.

I said IF THE STORY BE TRUE IT MAKES SENSE.

God has threatened both nations and individuals with judgment if they refuse him. If indeed a nation did make a pact with the devil it would be logical that it would be a dark and evil place. That does not mean everyone there is in sin of course. Thats what the secret place of the most high is for. A refuge for the righteous even in the storm.

Anyway you dont miss a chance to judge others Dan altho you sure holler if you THINK someone else is.
