My son has an abundance of allergies. His allergist told us a long time ago that if he (or anyone) doesn't like a certain food, we should not force it on him. It is very likely that his body is telling him that he is allergic to it.
He hates peanut butter and/or peanuts. He's only tasted it twice in his life. Both times he spit it out without swallowing. Still he ended up with a severe allergic reaction both times. In fact, the second time, we had to have the Squad take him to the hospital. On the way they had to give him 3 shots of Epi. At the hospital they gave him Benedryl via IV, Ventolin in a nebulizer, oxygen, and MORE Epi.
Now he hates peas. When I talked to the allergist about it, it turns out that peas are in the same family as peanuts and if you are allergic to peanuts, it is highly likely that you will also be allergic to peas.
So, Sherri, who knows? Maybe you have some sort of allergy to strawberries and you don't even know about it because you hate them and so refuse to eat them.
