Thanks for all the prayers and concern!

Actually, we are supposed to get some snow on Thursday...just flurries! This is the craziest winter we've had here in a while!

Well, under a Tornado watch until Midnight. Looks like I'll still be up for a couple of hours!

Just reported that NE MS is under tornado watch until 5 am.

Ealier in day, sirens went off for about 30 min.

I must confess, all these storms have me a bit concerned. I had no idea about the weather until today around noon. Last night I dreamed a tornado was headed straight for me.

Yes, I've been watching the news. So tragic about the Mobile Home Park. Sirens are going off now. Rain and wind HEAVY! I'm "smack in the middle" of town. Just called to let my SS girls know that it's headed toward Muhlenburg County in about 10-15 minutes! So, must be headed for you too, HMF!

Tornado warning for my area right now.........

The first round got really bad while we were at church. We had baseball size hail about 6:45... they took all that had arrived early into the church offices to wait out the storm.

As we were driving home, there was stuff all over the roads. Thunder is rolling here now, winds are picking up...

I'll check back in when the warning is over if we still have power.

Thankfully, the storms have gone around my area for the most part. The watch is in effect til 12 midnight and there are more storms headed our way. I am not sleepy, but 6 am "does come early" ....God bless.

I'm sick of snow. It snows almost every day. It's old and I'm sick of it.

In the morning, I'll have to drive in it again. I have to travel 40 miles to school 4 days a week. I've missed two days of class and one day of clinical because of the cold and snow.

I'm sick of it.

Give me storms.

I am listening to Jackson news and the reporters are saying this is 10 times worse than the 2002 Jackson tornadoes. I know folks in this area so it is interesting to me to read the news.

AMEN!! :D

Tornado warning cancelled.... under severe thunderstorm warning till at least 12:30am.. Tornado watch till 5am. Unless they cancel all these watches/warnings... I'm going to be up all night. Will have to wake hubby up to go get our daughter from work. She is NOT driving in this weather.

I'm sitting here in the office... and it sounds really bad

I have been in a ton o snow in my life, enjoyed it when I was a kid. But when I got old enough to have to scrape it, shovel it, and drive in it, it became a much different story. But as much as I have come to really detest the stuff, I have never seen a snow storm, not even one that lasted for days that could do the kind of destruction that will be all over the news in the morning. I truly pray that God helps these poor people.

That's CNN's projection based on Exit polls....Truly, that is not always a reliable method of projecting.

yeah, I guess I am upset because they are projecting a winner that I don't want to win....lol. I have to give them credit, they don't often project the wrong winner...I guess.

The pundits were saying, "A vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain"...I loved it when they said tonight, "A vote for Huckabee looks as though it really is a vote for Huckabee".....I love it!

Re: Tornado Warning - Sirens Going OFF

Not sure exactly what time today it happened.... just heard it on the wmcstations.com report and found this article online.

A fire erupted at a natural gas pumping station northeast of Nashville and Highway Patrol authorities say there are an undetermined number of fatalities.

Officials do not know what started the fire late Tuesday at the Columbia Gulf Natural Gas pumping station near the Macon County community of Green Grove, about 40 miles from Nashville.

Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesman Mike Browning said the station could have been damaged by a line of severe storms that moved through Tennessee.

The fire could be seen in the night sky for miles around. Tennessee Emergency Management spokesman Donnie Smith says, "These flames are shooting 400, 500 feet in the air."

I signed back in to tell you to GO TO BED....I am (or I will have to miss work tomorrow)...The worst is behind us...Storms are over for the night. Go to weather.com and prove it to yourself. We need to pray for those people who lost family members and friends.

Not always easy to sleep when you have one of your kids out in the storms.... She's at work and she won't be home till about 3:30am. I won't truly rest till she is home. I am signing off though... going to spend some time in prayer again before I go to sleep.

Nite. :)

I didn't realize you had a child who is still out....That's tough. I'll pray for her safety.

Good night again. I need the hot chocolate to help me sleep.

Thats what they are talking about now.. how this is very uncommon for this time of year. They are talking about how it is still moving and what is even more dangerous is that they are unable to see it until it hits.. 3 deaths in greenville I think is what they just said... its unreal..

Yes I am wondering about Renda also.

The Lighthouse Church in Jackson was severly damaged and may be a total loss, there are conflicting reports....

Renda was on earlier and made it home safely from work and when they said that the storm had passed she went to bed as she was very exhausted.

Yes it is fairly large, it seats 800. What a horrible thing...That is the church that I posted a while back that had online videos of Doug White preaching. He preached about Teddy Bears do you remember?
