Well, it's very exciting to have this aired on TV!!!

When a disaster like this happens in a community is when all bearers come down and brother helps brother - - it's a wonderful thing!

Too bad some won't be able to see it on TV (disclaimer - this is not anything bashing - just a fact).

Thats the part that caught my attention! I love it when our churches get featured by the media without even trying.(like what happened to CLC in the early 90's)

Wow millions of people will be watching!

Haven't read the thread... don't think it worth the effort at this point. The fact is that the Pastor is a friend of mine and saying 'no UPC has offered to help' is absolutely untrue. I'm 12 hours away and immediately called to offer our willingness to load up the crew from my Church that helped us sift through the debris after the hurricane and do the same for them.

Additionally, the Men's Ministry Director for Tennessee is already making plans to gather a group to go assist in their recovery efforts an, ironically, it appears that Renda's Pastor is working in cooperation with this effort... a fact that was openly noted on another forum for some who post there, too, to see.

Offers of help have come from everywhere. Offers to let them utilize buildings have come from various directions... they chose the AG because it's practically in their backyard of their now destroyed place of worship.

Amazing how quickly it becomes an anti-UPC rant. Especially in light of the fact that help WAS offered from multiple UPC groups.

Sad.
