Yes, I saw what you're referring to.

How many people were at the event? Maybe thousands?
How many people were shouting stuff? Maybe hundreds?

And they're reporting that many people shouted hateful stuff, including one who used a racial remark.

1... how does this refelect on mccain/pallin? Are they responsible to hear every such remark made at a rally, and rebuke the person?
2... Why are you making it seem like racists are only in the Republican party and not the Democratic party? Do you not know that some racists vote Republican and some vote Democrat? Do you not know some democrats have said they will cross over and vote for the other party because they cant vote for a black man?

Why are you not as disturbed by racism among Democrats as among Republicans?
What.. you didnt know it existed? Ok. Take a look:

1) It doesn't reflect on McCain/Palin if they squash that kind of stuff before it gets out of hand. Maybe not every remark, but if the tv cameras can pick up the remark, that candidate can probably hear the remark.

2) I'm not saying that racists are only in the Republican party. But, as a Black man, if I was a Democrat watching what I saw, reading what I have read, it would do little to encourage me to consider becoming a Republican.

What I saw today reminded me of stuff I had only heard about, read about in history.

I know about the Dixie-crats of history. I know some of the most "progressive" folks who call themselves Democrats who are "progressive" for aevery one else until it comes down to their neighborhoods, their school, their dinner table.

What I saw rattled me and so I posted a thread about it.

The video you posted reflects the minds of many folks-- but these good folks were not spouting anything violent or hateful. I wasn't put off by any of it at all.

Blacks make up less than 15% of the population. The average Black person that votes are predictably Democrat anyway so this is not about race only.

(2) No. Neither do I believe in MOST of the conspiracy theories floating around out there.

Our current President is laying the foundation for Communism-- initialing the Government "rescue" of businesses in a way unprecedented. Have you heard that Secretary Paulson now wants to use government money to buy up homes in foreclosure? That to me is a scary path to go down.

All this is happening on the Republican watch.

(3) No. But is this a serious question? Should I hold Whites in contempt for all of the PROVEN white spies and true treasonous people who have been caught and convicted?

The 3rd question could not have been serious....

OP Carl, do you know who Crispus Attucks is?

I am totally against the bailout and the empowerment of the treasury secretary.
Thanks to McCain-Feingold, we haven't been given any good choices.

I am familiar with the story of the Boston Massacre and Crispus Attucks. What is the pertinence here?

Are you familiar with the level of evil ascribed to redistributionist thinking by proponents of natural law? Do you understand how the Civil rights act of 1964 repealed natural law in America, and the voting rights act repealed our original form of government - a limited republic - and replaced it with democracy? Democracy being merely the tyranny of the majority, and not "freedom" as they are often associated together.

Coerced collectivism is wrong by a spectrum of moral codes. You may take your pick. It has failed everywhere that it has been attempted.

I consider every last Obama supporter to be either seriously deluded or an agent of communism. (There are a lot of the first category, thanks to the public schools) I think Obama hopes to wreck this country and attempt to create a socialist utopia. There is enough evidence to connect those dots.

However what he will have wrought is oppression and misery, as centrally-planned economies simply cannot react, and incentive is removed for innovation, excellence, and hard work. The fringes of this are already evidence in the wreckage of LBJ's "Great Society" welfare state, which has nearly demolished the nuclear family in the black community.

I recognize that the patronage system we see at work here at the end of the Bush administration is an equally proven civilization-ender. McCain's track record of bucking the party line is our only hope here. And Palin's willingness to root out corruption in her own party is a breath of fresh air.

Attempting to achieve equality of outcome, instead of equality of opportunity, is for dreamers and retards. Politics by guilt is a recipe for disaster. Politics by founding principles for me, please.

Lord Bless you.

(1) The pertinence here is that the first person to die for the independence of this country was a man named Crispus Attucks, a Black man.

So to insinuate that Blacks are should be somehow linked to communists is absurd. Plenty folks of all ethnicities have sacrificed much to make this country what it is today.

(2) No. But does it have anything to do with Robin Hood?

(3) Aristotle said something about a "common law" that was "natural" and is the law everywhere. However I don't much more than that about it.

(4) What would you have done to guarantee voting rights for every American?

I started to research the topics presented in your post, but there is a lot here and I wouldn't have been able to respond in an informed manner anyway if I had done a quick read on these topics.

Maybe you can explain to me (3) and (4). We can start there, if you like.

I heard the, "Off with his head!!" comment myself on CNN today.

I was honestly shocked.

It would have been an, "I told you so" moment for my Dad had he watched with me, because I would not have believed it and at best would have down played it.

But I was really, really shocked, rattled, for a few minutes after hearing it.

I gotta get ready for work guys... be back later.

So some jerk said "Off with his head"...so what? That is supposed to be indicative of all republicans? Democrats have been heard calling Republicans all racists and other things, but that does not make all Democrats the same.

This is a polemic. They probably had a lot of tape on the ground too in the cutting room if you know what I mean.

Most of these people are idiots that don't think for themselves or have not investigated the claims but listen to sound bytes by talk shows or believe the stuff they get in emails. It's sad because there are some smart people that are very gullible too
