I won't dispute you can do that with options. Sure, no problem. You have the advantage of leverage. Spreads, straddles, Kondors, etc also can let you hedge your plays. Or go delta neutral and sell theta.

BUT the average investor can't do this in their 401K.....

You're correct! Very few 401Ks allow option trading, but you can open a personal IRA and do it!

Option trading takes a lot of study leaning the greeks and how they work. I'm getting close to getting a grasp. I plan to jump in on March 1st!

Is a 10-15% goal, annually, a workable goal?

I was in LVLT for a while, but they just got hit with a class action lawsuit. Stocks are down.

I looked at ALU. They have been basically bouncing off the $1.86 support since November 20th. Looking at today's chart, they have broken thru support with heavy volume, and the $1.86 is acting like the new resistance. Look for the stock to go to new lows!

An individual investor can get in and out immediately.

I enjoy his resources. They are very easy to understand, compared to some.

I see the secret to this is learning one area at a time. Most of us aren't working with millions. That was what I liked about Town, he moreso focused on one area at a time.

It's definitely a good long term buy, but for the short term it could get rocky! :)
