Sounds to me like your husband is a smart man.

I looked at this flyer I didn't see smith's name.

I think they might be talking about larry smith. he believes in those sort of different doctrines

Thad, do you think mentioning a name like this and lumping the name with a vague reference to "he believes in those sort of different doctrines" is appropriate?

Is it factual to include a reference that if left unclarified would associate the items being discussed "Divine Flesh" and the "Adam" doctrine with the person you named?

The Apostolic World Christian Fellowship ... is exactly what it is ... Apostolic .... JS, KP are as PAJC as you can get ... neither are divine flesh ... or believe in Adam's doctrine ...

This thread is a mischaracterization of a fellowship that contains millions of Apostolic believers w/ a variety of views ... some are sabbatarians ... some believe in extrabiblical outward dress standards ... its a broad group ...

JS went off the deep end. Every time I hear him preach, it's money, money, money. Prosperity, prosperity, prosperity.

He should hook up with Creflo Dollar and the other prosperity doctrine preachers.

I have to respectfully disagree ... He is an associate pastor at Church of Champions ... and his preaching/teaching has been uplifting, deep and focused on Christian living and the prophetic ...

When I came to Ohio in 1957, my pastor was F.E. Curts (not Kurts) who was the Dist. Supt. of Ohio.

If you were preaching back in 1953, you must be uh, uh, how do I say this, um, um, an elder by now?

I've heard my share of prosperity teaching in the org ... when I was part of it also .... it's a pervasive problem throughout the American Christian church.

Then his messages @ CoC are different from one's on Acts29tv. Thus far on Acts29tv all I've heard is money.

I haven't watched it for the past couple weeks though, cause I got sick of it the last time I watched him preach. I logged on and broke in on the message already in progress and he's in the middle of a shoutin' time and yells something about the last time he preached that message a man got $85,000 cash the next week. He kept talking about people getting money after hearing the message and was praying over financial documents. :vomit

Whether in UPC or out of UPC, prosperity doctrine is wrong and harms saints more than helps them.

You get these jokers preaching prosperity for saints, and how you should be living high. What happens when a trial comes? What happens when hard times come? These prosperity-fed saints flip out! They can't handle it because they've been fed this junk food doctrine that says life's a bunch of blessings if you live for Jesus!

Sista Murphy :

My Wife Has Given Me A Response For Your Husband -

Per the 1st Lady:
"My Husband Is NOT A GRAVE DIGGER,
IF THE DEAD WOULD STAY BURIED
Instead of cropping up everywhere
THEN
He Wouldn't Have To Be Crying Out

DEAD MAN WALKING !

If they would stay buried
instead of their continued preaching
then others wouldn't have to be WARNED !

Suber - off the deep end in my opinion.

Phillips - I know (1st hand) that Ken & Wanda Phillips met recently with one of our UPC ministers and Wanda Phillips told him: "[name deleted], tell the UPC not to be stupid and do what we did! (referring to going onto television). We spent all that money, and didn't win anybody...I'll tell you those TV producers are just a bunch of crooks out to get your money...I wish we'd never did it."

Too bad they chose to be a test case, what happended to their church - once a great revival church - as a result is sad.
