Re: World War Whatever developing now

As for America entering WWI, we tried to avoid entry, but Germany insisted.

At the beginning of 1917 Germany decided to resume all-out submarine warfare on every commercial ship headed toward Britain, realizing that this decision would almost certainly mean war with the United States. Germany also offered a military alliance to Mexico in the Zimmermann Telegram. Publication of that offer outraged Americans just as German U-boats (submarines) started sinking American ships in the North Atlantic. Wilson asked Congress for "a war to end all wars" that would "make the world safe for democracy", and Congress voted to declare war on Germany on April 6, 1917.[4] On December 7, 1917, the US declared war on the Austro-Hungarian Empire.[5][6]

Bingo.

Had the the USA stayed out of WW1, it would have ended in a stalemate. No German humiliation. No mass hatred of the Jews. Hitler would have been an unknown artist. There would have been no rise of Communism, Fascism or a WW2.

Had Britain and France not guaranteed to protect Poland in 1939, Poland would not have acted so cocky and hostile towards Germany. Poland was going to wind up either in the German or Soviet sphere of influence. Why did France and Germany feel it so necessary to declare war on Germany over Poland? Look at the outcome. Millions dead and the British empire lost, plus a 50 year Soviet rule in Poland. How was Poland helped by this war? Though Jews were persecuted in Germany in the 30's, the holocaust was a WAR crime that began in 1942 when Germany was staring defeat in the face. Had there been no war, there would have been no holocaust IMO as Hitler would not have gone genocidal.

dude, im dumber for having read that...

my college major was history. I now this like the back of my hand and nothing you just said reflects reality.

edit to add, you know absolutely nothing about hitler. you know absolutely nothing about the rise of the Nazi party in Germany. everything you said here is silliness.

If your degree is in history you should get your money back.

Brother, respectfully, you should watch WW2 videos of the expansion of Nazi Germany.

They will depict what really happened.

I have also. I know there are varying points of view, but the vast majority believe Hitler provoked the entire problem.(over 70 years later)

I once held that view myself. But I find it now to be way over simplistic.

Pat Buchanan comes as close as anyone to expressing my feelings.....
