Your eye is fairly accurate. That is the Becton's newly married and in one of their first revivals. The other gentleman was Rex Wilcox. On another thought Phil, let's see how accurate my eye is. Were you at the GC in Ft. Worth around 1975? I seem to remember a group of young men with your face in their midst. This group was energetic, noisy [having fun], and I saw them everywhere I seem to look.

Yes (are you sir or ma'am?) YOU ARE AN EAGLE EYE! I was indeed there! In fact, it was at that meeting that I finally accepted and stepped into my call to the ministry. It was during that youth service when Sis. Loretta Earl wailed about "My God is Good to Me!"and Bro. Will Cohron preached about Moses and Aaron... the title of the message was, I believe, "Who Is Gonna Be Your Aaron" indicating that God was going to get the job done but if we don't step up and fulfill our call he may have to use a substitute and it may delay the fulfillment of His will. Tore me up and made me step up.
Do you recall those robed & bearded oneness folks that collected on the sidewalk outside the convention center... I believe they had left Bro. K Phillips church and formed a commune of sorts... all things common. They were preaching the "worldly" UPC to hell for not eschewing all things carnal, dressing as simple as possible, trusting God implicitly (no medicine) and so on. I got into a huge argument with the leader over this since he was wearing a really nice pair of spectacles to correct his vision. I called him a hypocrite and such... 16 and stupid... who knows, they may have been on to something way back then.:hypercoffee
