I had my hair shaved off for brain surgery. For some reason, I'm unable to tolerate anything in my hair, meaning I cannot wear barrettes, headbands, clips, or any such things. Since I have to keep my hair tidy, I have no choice but to keep it cut shorter than I care to have it.

Those who have known me since before the surgery can testify as to my frustrations at not having long hair as I once had.

This is so silly and so typical....un-cut means just that...the bible doesn't give you "choices" in the areas that God has commanded.............

the thing is God never said this in the first place so cutting her hair was NOT wrong....I can not believe how that passage in the bible has been so used soooo wrong....I challenge anyone to find the word UNCUT.....its not there....

Sorry brother for stepping on your post again, but I am just really really ......:ohplease

Sister God wants your heart not your hair....don't give it another thought...Lord bless you, and He loves you.....

Brother PM ya know what? If God can grow a tree he can grow your Mom's hair instantly if it is the desire of her heart. Wouldn't that be something?

Will she go to hell for having her hair cut?

She asked the hospital to save her hair, and it is in a bag by her bed. Can she be saved if she carries the bag of cut hair with her wherever she goes? Will she still have the power of the angels?

I believe I know the answer, but I'm curious how the hard-liners reconcile this!

I guess I am one of those UC hard-liners... I don't cut my hair at all. Not going to debate it either. But first, I pray your mother recovers soon! My mother had a brain tumor removed and they, of course, had to shave an area of her head. For us UC people, please don't assume that just because we believe it is wrong, don't think we are ignorant. I believe it is a sin from what I read in the Word. When a woman cuts her hair, it is an act of rebellion. Again, I'm not arguing or debating it here because that is not what PM wanted to know. He has his view! No, of course she is not going to hell because of this. We aren't as ignorant and closeminded as some would like to make us out to be. God is a wonderful God! God will not judge her for something like this. And for anyone who thinks God would, well, um.....:ouch ya need help!

I pray all is well. My mother's hair grew back very quick and it's longer than ever! God sees her heart!!!!!!!!!!

Again, thank you all for all your prayers and concern!

I posted the picture because it helps create an epiphany for hardliners. It's one thing when it a hypothetical situation, but another when it's a real situation.

Here you have a faithful woman who has never cut her hair, that had to have it cut for an operation. It demands mercy from most, but some may still toe the line.

For those that believe the hair power doctrine, how is she effected?

Of course, I think she is just fine! Within a year, nobody will know it was ever cut!
