I pray for the Apostolic movement as a whole and I am convinced that God is in control and everything will work out. In the meantime, I will continue to do what is in my power to be sure that revival and outreach continue in my local assembly.

It just misses the point, that's all. What happens to others affects us all. Ideas concerning standards, water/spirit doctrine, ecclesiology, etc are quite important. They subject many who don't believe it to senseless war campaign speeches, their motives being constantly questioned, back-stabbing and second guessing. This isn't about revival in your local assembly, it's about who you fellowship and grow with intimately.

Simple.

By voting to disaffiliate, a church shows the pastor it stands with him, and is in lockstep with his direction.

True ... Of course, this holds true when church business is conducted transparently. ... Of course, I am not specifically talking about this case.

So if they indeed did disaffiliate, there had to have been a church vote. Very interesting.

Yes. Of course, there are always dissenters ... some may see it as a step to move away ... while many times, many of these churches do this for other reasons while still remaining in fellowship through the minister.

Depends on the church bylaws I think. I was in a church that never voted. Just drove up and the sign had changed. That was several years ago.

And please, will someone tell me what water and spirit doctrine is? Thats a new one for me.

"If" being the operative word. All of this speculation is not healthy, IMO.

Perhaps it would be best to confirm the info before AFF's minions dissect the situation?

Since no one has done anything but throw out a dozen initials in the form of a riddle, it's safe to say that this is all speculation at this point -- until someone can confirm.
