YES!!!! I used to listen to that song and cry like a baby!!! "God wouldn't put it in your spirit if it wasn't going nowhere, so set your sight on the promises and don't you be scared, 'cause your desire is the confirmation, the destination is there"!!

Carmen will never know the effect that song had on me. And while many considered me a wuss for liking him, David Meece was another favorite of mine at that time. The Unknown Soldier is in my top 10 list of Christian singles.

There are too many scriptures that indicates that "once saved, always saved no matter what" is not Bible.

I'll share just one set of scriptures here:

Our names are added to the "book of life" when we are genuinely born again according to scripture, the scripture below shows that your name could be blotted back out if you are not an overcomer.

Revelation 3:5 "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life...."

.......and the following verse shows the consequences of not having your name in the book of life:

Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

(I am not saying it is easy to lose your salvation at the drop of a hat so to speak, but I would not want anyone to have a false assurance that they could backslide and still make Heaven if they did not repent and return to God before leaving this life)

I don't know that song, but I loved, "We Were The Reason." I never liked Carmen but I loved that song because of the music. Then one day, I realized what he was saying and I had a meltdown.

We Were the Reason is another great one. Honestly it was probably more manly to be a fan of Elton John (which I happen to be as well) than David Meece but his music managed to touch me at times in my life when I needed it the most.

And I wasn't a huge Carmen fan either -since I never got into his "hey yo! wadda doin?" Rocky Balboa wannabe, Italian thug type character. But he has a few songs that have stayed with me from the first day I heard them.

Whatever happened to David Meece? That one album is the only one I ever saw.

Can someone lose salvation? No. But there are some people who've thrown it away.
