My youngest son attends Abilene Christian University, if you want an experience go attend their chapel service. Especially when there is a special event and alot of those Church of Christ parents are there, I was blown away with the beauty and power of that acapella filled coliseum. Many have church without power with the lights on. To what extent has the power that powers multimedia replaced the only power that we ought to really desire of a meeting?

This site has become populated with nitpickers... not to be confused with the nose pickers who were already there. The majority of posters appear foolish in their quest to find the never ending "inconsistencies" that we all know are exclusive to Apostolics. You folks need to get a real life and start focusing on something eternal and quit trying to determine who is sinning with their PA systems.

sad some think noise is anointing however the most of us know when God is REALLY moving...
I am thankful for those loud services but I also enjoy the quite services when He comes in a still small voice.

If Paul upbraided those that spoke in tongues too much for the negative implications it would have on those that would come in, how much more so should we turn it down to a reasonable level and let the only power that matters have His Way instead of trying to manufacture an atmosphere artificially? Is this not a valid eternal concern?

I suppose you are of the old school that believes that there ought not be any critique of obvious error. Just sit down, shut up, and go deaf?

Who is the more foolish here? The one with genuine concern for a subject that often falls on deaf ears, or the one that thinks all is well because he’s quite possibly oblivious for his own hearing loss?

I’m sure it’s probably not loud enough for those already half deaf!

How do you suppose the blind were able to lead the blind? Same way the deaf lead the deaf?

Are there no concessions for those that haven’t, nor want, to lose their hearing?

BTW, Was Jim a fool and a nitpick for his many critiques of the status quo?

Where do you think this forum came from originally? And do you advise staring at the sun?
