Keith, did you get any pictures from the Savannah or Cordova churches? I don't have very many, but would like to get some. Especially next week when the new chairs come into Cordova.

I did, but mostly when it was tore up for the remodel.

(just kidding Mrs CC1, indeed she is very lovely!)

I was about 50 pounds lighter then and my waist was seven or eight inches smaller!!!

When I see pictures of me now I wonder who the old fat guy is. I get so depressed I usually have to wander into the kitchen and eat some junk food to make me feel better. :bubble

BTW - Sherri's "gooey" cake which was a chess type cake was amazing. I am a chocolate lover but this was better than chocolate.

Can I have the recipie or is it a closely held family secret?

I actually got this recipe from a lady in what is now Deacon Blue's church in Memphis 25 years ago. I will go and get it and post it on here in a few minutes. Glad you liked it; it's one of our all-time favorites!

GOOEY CAKE

1 pkg. yellow cake mix (dry)
1 stick margarine or butter, melted
1 egg
1 c. chopped pecans
Mix the above ingredients and press in the bottom of a 9x13 glass pan.

8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 box powdered sugar
2 eggs
Mix these three till smooth and pour over the first mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until it starts to brown on top. VERY EASY!
