She asked the hospital to save her hair, and it is in a bag by her bed. Can she be saved if she carries the bag of cut hair with her wherever she goes? Will she still have the power of the angels?
I believe I know the answer, but I'm curious how the hard-liners reconcile this!

I completely understand the frustration that caused you to start this thread. A couple of short weeks ago I started a similar one after a very nice couple from my wifes old church were in a car accident and my wifes old Sunday school (and current Elem school teacher) died. It was a horrible snow day and no one should have been out on the road but because of the all-important doctrine of never canceling a service combined with the rule of always being there when the door is open, they tried to go.
It was a good funeral (as funerals go) but as I predicted, there wasn't an ounce of guilt from the pastor or anyone else.... it was all "The Lord decided to call her home" platitudes.
Yes, we often speak of hypothetical situations until we are faced with the real thing and suddenly we see that certain assumptions have no real foundation.
(After re-reading this post, that last line will probably only make sense to Pianoman -and myself.)
