The sacrifice? Give it a break. Most of us don't see our checks or get paid cash ... unless you are off the books or still cash a check.
With direct deposit I don't even see my check in the form of cash ... all my banking is done electronically ... my bills paid online.
I thought God prefers our obedience over sacrifice, anyway.

Exactly. Now I get slightly irritated with the places that don't offer an auto draft, pay by phone or online payment option. We're spoiled by the convenience of paying things without ever leaving the comfort of home.

I knew someone would twist something from that statement. LOL If it hurt you as badly to drive to the bank as it does me at times, you'd think it was a hassle too. :) I'd gladly pay a $2 fee to use an ATM in our church bookstore/library to avoid even having to go to the bank at all. I can use my debit at my own banks ATM free, anywhere else, they charge anywhere from $2-$4 per transaction. Church is the only place I even use cash anymore, because I do not want a papertrail of my giving. What I give is between me and God. Not between me and all the bank employees who work in our small town bank. I also pay our tithes with cash in an unmarked tithing envelope. It's between me and God, not me and all the church staff.
