Absolutely. And the scripture that says, "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy."

How can one be restored if one never acknowledges a falling away? And by what Biblical means can somebody say that such a situation as this would be something that is "nobody's business?" I guess I misunderstand, and think that sin is still sin, and there is still only one remedy for it: confession and fosaking of that sin, not acting as if all is okay.

Can't tell you about the UPC, but I know the church has the means for restoration, but the process begins with repentance (turning away from sin).

I agree with what I quoted of your statement. I don't know LW's thoughts or heart, that's the Lord's business, but I wouldn't knowingly be promoting him if his lifestyle is sinful. It wouldn't hurt any of us to be pray'n for him and that whole situation.

Amen!

Hotels are great in Bossier City! I recommend the Hampton Inn or Quality Inn.

Sister Murphy, it sounds like you are an expert at sinning and restoration. Have you ever contacted Lanny to reach out to him?

yes, of course, never mind about all that scriptural stuff like "know them that labor among you", and, "them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear", and "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them"; those are probably from 'the dark ages'.

Well, I guess the key question here is this: Has LW acknowledged and repented of his moral failings of the past? ...or has he not?

If he has, then lets move forward in Jesus' name, and wish the brother well. Plain and simple.
But if he has not, then God-fearing saints should simply not be supporting his ministry.

Seems pretty straightforward to me.

I haven't heard of any admission of guilt or repentance. The way it appears, he doesn't have to. He still has an audience.
