If you read Mr Edwards' book entitled "HOW TO MEET" you would find that you would rather have a building full of the followers of Christopher Hitchens then of Gene Edwards. Heeheehee

Gene Edwards doesn't feel that there should be any pastor, or evangelist over any group of believers, he also doesn't believe that there should be tithal support of the ministry. Someone from Gene Edwards' following (if they stayed amongst your group) would make haste in trying to relieve you of your position.

Thank you, but I wouldn't be working on a coup d'etat to remove you or your other pastors from their position. Unlike I, the followers of Gene Edwards would be real busy to see "true Biblical ministry restored in your congregation.

With the harlot you have the outside look and the inward thought.

Even the sinners got it right, but try getting an ex-holiness Pentecostal to believe that.

I think no one who thinks that Outward Standards of Clothing not being essential to one's salvation would agree that they aren't important and that one should be dressed and clothed appropriately.

The point is, EB, if someone can come in and tear up the church I pastor that quickly or easily, then I have done a sorry job as a shepherd. The last thing I do is operate out of fear. I've seen more than one person come in and try to change us. It is amazing what happens when I don't attack them or make reference to them from the pulpit. People really are smarter than most give them credit for. I don't fear errant doctrines. :D

Hardee Har Har! :ursofunny

It has nothing to do with fear, but when the man in the pulpit advocates a book written by the one who is in errant doctrine, people start to lift an eyebrow. Who attacks or makes references to people from the pulpit?
My wife and I had visited liberal churches and had our hides torn from our backs. If you are trying to say that conservatives are the only ones who pound the pulpit and use it as a snipers loft, think again. Liberals love to chew on a unsuspecting conservative who stumbles in front of their cross haired pulpit.

Ok, that's really a dumb thing to do; Eddie would never do that. If you've come across that, then it's unusual.

I'll advocate a good message no matter who it is from.........even a donkey! "Tale of Three Kings" is an excellent message no matter what else the man has written. Gene Edwards is an excellent story teller even if he doesn't believe in pastors such as myself. I'd welcome him and ask him to greet us. I'm sure that he has enough integrity not to disrespect another church's pulpit. Not everyone has the morals of a fly. :D

I don't tear up anyone from the pulpit. There really is no need to do that for me. As I said, I'm secure in whose I am. :D

I've read this book over and over and I've told SO many people to read it, in times of conflict. We require all pastoral applicants to read it as part of their ordination process. It's the best little book ever on submission.

I can accept that. Yet I have had it happen to me more than once, and one guy I had helped out prior to my skinning.

If your husband would never do that then hooray hooray.

I am happy, but I have to say this, you guys could be wearing a Tarzan outfit behind the pulpit and be as liberal as Obama, and you are still to the BONE UPCI Pentecostals! Till the day you die, you all have Hazelwood flowing through your veins.
