Your point is?

He may have met with the sinner, but I don't see Him going to where they sinned.

Do you think the Lord went about building and protecting his sterling reputation?
Yeah. Don't you? It wasn't His rep He was protecting anyways. It was that of His Father.

Where they sinned ??? People sin in the House of God ....

so no sinning went on when he sat w/ them ... ???? Truly everywhere he stepped .... from the synagogue to the shores .... people had sinned on that very spot ....

I still miss your point. Where did they sin? As a sinner, they abide in sin. He went to where they WERE.

No. The bible said that "He made of himself NO reputation." In otherwords, he was not concerned in all that foolishness. He was concerned about reaching souls...whereever they were, whenever he could. See it?

I see. God has a reputation that his Son went about trying to protect? :ursofunny

Excuse me. I just had to laugh just a little. You don't mind, do you?

Jesus came to REVEAL the Father to the world... not to kick tail and take names regarding the Father's reputation.

The thought of it is a bit comical, isn't it?

Dan, do you think you can come up with a picture for that one?

:ursofunny Now that's a new mental image. :lol

Exactly Bro. Ron.

Sometimes I wonder how people come to the conclusions that they do assuming that they are bible readers.

Their truth is just that.... THEIR truth...

And it is very different from THE Truth.

Can you see it? Ninja Jesus comes to Jerusalem to defend his Father's reputation and punish all those that defile it.

I never said He didn't go to where they were. Go back and read my initial post. Maybe that will clear it up.

I see what you're saying, but I don't agree in the context in which we're discussing His reputation. His reputation was one of righteousness and holiness. He would not compromise that to reach a sinner.

Who was responsible for protecting God's reputation before Christ?

I mind about as much as you being rude. Have it at. :tiphat
