I'm still what I always have been; my pastor and my wife's former pastor have both changed and now believe and preach radically different doctrine than they used to...it's pretty much a no-brainer as to who changed and who left. Although I disagree with the paying musicians...it MUST be a labor of love and a gift that someone returns to God. At the least they can be getting paid, then sacrificing the whole amount of pay back in the form of music ministry offering... On the other hand, should the musician be able to claim their non-salary as a gift to charity and be able to claim it on income tax at least? I don't know...doesn't sound good after I typed it. Astoundingly great music is not a prerequisite for a move of the Holy Ghost. |
