Jimmy Davis / Hal Kennedy
 

I have a great album with elder jimmy Davis and Hal Kennedy. Not sure where I got it. I copied it over from tape to MP3. Very good old time songs, absolutely my favorite to listen to.

Does anybody know the name of the album or if there might be more or how to get Em?

THe recording I have is fairly good quality. I can hear all the words instruments. In my times alone shut in with God is a great set of about 15 songs to meditate and pray.

But some of the songs, I don't know and can't find the lyrics or the music. Sure wish I could get a hold of a digitally mastered copy. Could use them . My wife playes guitar and I try to sing. Lol

What are some of the song titles?

When I was a child I went with my parents to a tent revival and Bro. Hal
Kennedy was the singer that night. I got a song book that he autographed
for me. I certainly treasure that too. :nod

I'm back in the fold.

I saw where a now defunct record company, Canaan Records, issued some remastered Jimmie Davis music. One source said they are available on itunes. You might check there.

Amazon also has a lot of Jimmie Davis music.

It is However not the late Jimmy Davis AMF we all highly regard and respect as a great man of God.

The music I have is from another old time gospel singer Jimmie Davis.

I also found the album, it is called

I believe he was a member of UPC. I remember him like I said singing
at that old Pentecostal tent revival I went to. He also sang at
my home church one time, so yes, I believe he was "apostolic" :)
