Are You Guilty Of Forwarding This Email?
I have received this same email TOO many times. I am amazed at the emails that Christians will mindlessly forward without giving it any thought or study.
Are you guilty? Here is the email A friend of mine sent this to me. It is definitely food for thought. According to The Book of Revelations the anti-christ is: Here is my response to the email. Quote:

Re: Are You Guilty Of Forwarding This Email?
I haven't seen this "forward" but I do agree with your rebuttal.

Re: Are You Guilty Of Forwarding This Email?
Not guilty.
generally when I get email from friends and family, I first check the bottom of the email. if it says "forward", I delete as it was not sent to me personally. I have been known to respond to the sender with a link to snopes.com and a comment about how inaccurate it is. I do respone to email sent to me by friends and family that are sent as letters. personal notes sent via email are very nice and I appreciate keeping up with folk. jokes are cool. funny video are cool telling me to send an email to 10 people so bill gates will give me a million bucks are not cool. explaining how the world will end next tuesday are not cool. |

Making the decisive factor as to whether you love/are not ashamed of God being based on whether you forward this email or not... Those become "ID" emails. ID = Instant Delete |

Look no farther than Hillary! She would stop at nothing to discredit Obama in order to steal the Democratic nomination for President!
I didn't get the email, but if I do, I will delete it right away! |

But lets be clear, given all that is legal, I would stop at nothing to prevent Obama (or Hillary) from reaching the white house.... up to and including some things that while legal might not be completely ethical. However there is never an excuse to do violence to the Word of God. (i think that is actually a sin according to Holy Writ) |

I don't do FWD'S. Mainly for security reasons.I don't like to see my addy in all the previous fwds. I've sent the instructions to my friends/family how to use the Bcc . I've also let them know that I don't like fwds and I delete them.
One friend is constantly getting virus and having her computer reformatted. :( Sure has eliminated a lot of junk mail for me . :D |

just kidding about the paypal.........:ursofunny Actually, I'm not looking for the anti-Christ nor the son of perdition that will be revealed. I've got my head lifted up and I'm looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith! |
Re: Are You Guilty Of Forwarding This Email?
I hate this stuff, I don't understand how people just believe anything in print. I've done the respond with a link to Snopes thing.
I've finally got my mom to forward things to me only, so I can check things out before she sends them on. |
Re: Are You Guilty Of Forwarding This Email?
I don't forward stuff and don't really appreciate it when other mindlessly do so. :D

[QUOTE=Digging4Truth;421772]I have received this same email TOO many times. I am amazed at the emails that Christians will mindlessly forward without giving it any thought or study.
Are you guilty? Here is the email I hate to admit it, but I never forward ANY of these "Please pass it on" emails. Too busy?? Too self absorbed???? Nah, I just have found out too many times that they are usually forms of the same hoax stuff and are no more real thean the Nigerian emails I receive advising me of the millions upon millions of dollars on deposit for me in a nigerian bank to which I have been discovered to be the only existing benificiary. (You know where all you have to do is provide them with your bank account number and pin number so they can transfer the millions into your bank account) Oh yeah and the Ebay/Pay Pal / Citi bank warnings that my account has been tapped into and they need me to immediately forward my account number and pin number to stop the pilfering. Oh yeah and..... The little girl in (take your pick) Poland, Hungary, Croatia who is in the hospital with (again take your pick) severe burns, cancer or diabetes or needing a liver/heart/kidney transplant. The emails that promise to bring a penny or dollar or what have you pay off every time it is forwarded or the ones that promise me free dinners at chilis, Red Lobster etc. All a waste of my time. How long have we been getting these please pass it on things and STILL there are folks out there who actually BELIEVE the sad story they are being told. The email YOU referenced is UNDOUBTEDLY the product of an Anti Obama person/group (And why do the initials HRC spring to mind here???) who is attempting to damage his campaing. Well better go, just received an email telling me that if I pass it on to seven friends I will be blessed and probably win the million dollar lottery (If I dont I might end up like the general in the Phillipines who got it DIDN'T forward it and was killed in a car accident! (You can't be too careful I DONT want that to happen to me!) JC |
Re: Are You Guilty Of Forwarding This Email?
Good response, Digging!
I see antichrist everywhere and everytime I see counterfeit Christianity! :) |
Re: Are You Guilty Of Forwarding This Email?
Ugh! NO! I rarely forward anything, and I HATE the emails that say things like: "If you don't forward this to 15 people, you're cursed, bad, not a Christian, don't love orphans, etc etc etc."
|
Re: Are You Guilty Of Forwarding This Email?
Not to get into a prophecy debate but...
I do agree that the original email is absurd, but I wouldn't say I agree with your response to it. I happen to believe the man we commonly refer to as Antichrist is a "he"... the same "man of sin" that Paul speaks of in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12. That said, I don't believe Obama is that man. |

Yeah in John's day there were many Anti-Christs and that spirit is alive and well, and anybody that denys the divinity of Christ is an Anti-Christ.
Anybody ever read 1.and 2 John ? |
Re: Are You Guilty Of Forwarding This Email?
Little children it is the last time:and as ye have heard that Anti-Christ shall come, even now there are many Anti-Christs;whereby we know it is the last time.1 JOHN 2:18 Poor John I guess he never owned a Scofield Bible poor chap.
|
Re: Are You Guilty Of Forwarding This Email?
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh:and this is that Spirit of AntiChrist, whereof ye have heard that it is should come;and even now already is it in the world.1 JOHN 4:3 Now John Clarence Larkin said that is there one Anti-Christ to come, you know that cause the seminary says so.

But the term does not have to be limited to those 2 contexts. As the scripture says "there are many antichrists". The term "antichrist" can still be used regarding anyone who is anti Christ (that is, against Christ). Thus, the man of sin can correctly be called an antichrist. To call him an antichrist (or even The Antichrist, as many do) is not a contradiction of the 1 John and 2 John passages. |
