Sis Freeman

Sis. Freeman was at First church yesterday in DeRidder. she spoke in the morning service and as she was coming to the end of her topic, she began to slump slowly to the floor with some trying to hold her and letting her to the floor . She lay there about 10 mins and Bro.Lewis and severel others prayed and scurried around to call 911. She actually died, her eyes were set and there wasn't a pulse. Prayer continued and in a bit she came back to and told them she wanted to finish her sermon, so lying there still behind the podium, they handed her the mike and she finished the lesson on how to be baptized, lying on the floor ....They then sat her in a chair over by the pulpit. They then took her to eat and she was back at church tonight preaching for about another 45 mins. Bro. Lewis said she was resurrected, the first time he had seen that. She did not want 911 or doctor... What a hero of the faith! First church was so blessed today to witness the power and glory of our God through this experience. She's very weak but will not stop, I guess until she just can't go.....Just thought everyone would like to know...

She's such an awesome lady. I still remember her coming to our church in Memphis back in the early 80's. She carried hot sauce with her every time we ate. LOL! She was a powerful woman of God! We got a nice note from her earlier this year.

Her husband was in the carwreck in Kenya with my father in law when he was killed. Bro. Freeman almost died too.

She is a great inspiration and a true example of a woman of God. I was blessed to meet her back in December. May God continue to bless and use her.

I didn't know that. There is such a rich legacy that I pray we never lose sight of.

In fact I do. My mom, dad, and 2 sisters were in the service.

After the service she and Pastor Lewis were talking. Her sermon was on faith.

after Brother Lewis exaplained that she was dead, she replied "Isnt it amazing how far God will go to illistrate the point!"

There were at least 2 medical professionals there that checked her and another gentleman who is a member of special forces. this guy said "Ive seen a lot of dead people and Sister Freeman was DEAD"

She will be 92 shortly I think.

Someone needs to set her up with an account here so she can give us her testimony of this experience.

Rico, she has many books that are filled with them. you can get them at Word Aflame.

I recomend ANYTHING she has written.

Many many years ago, (I think before the frist trip to Africa) while the Freemans were pastoring in Rosepine La. she was at home and the Lord told her to go to the front porch and waive her hands.

thinking that was foolish she resisted. The Lord continued to impress her to do so.

She ventually complied and as cars passed her house, there she was on her porch waiving her hands like a crazy woman!

Some time later a man came to the church and recived the Holy Ghost. He told the following story.

One day not long before, he had gotten in his car and headed out to commit suicide. as he passed the Freemans home, he say Sister Freeman on the pourch waiving at him with a great big smile on her face.

He knew then that someone loved him and he decided not to kill himself.

there. thats one of her stories. there are hundreds more!

Ferd, this is thing with me and her "dying." For the last 24 hours or so of my MIL's life, she literally laid in her bed with her eyes fixed and no discernable pulse. Her mouth was open, she was severly dehydrated from not being able to drink anything, and the inside of her mouth had turned a blackish color. By looking at her one would have thought she was dead. In fact, when she finally did die, she didn't look any different than she had looked when she entered those final stages of living. The only way they knew she was still alive was by using a stethoscope to listen for her heartbeat and lung function, both of which were very very low. She was still alive though. When I read this account of Sis Freeman being dead, and her eyes being fixed with no pulse, I immediately thought of my MIL. I don't doubt for a minute that the Lord did something for her and brought her out of something that day, but I do have my doubts about whether or not she really did die. That's why I have been asking for some sort of testimony from her on being dead and what it was like. You know how quickly us apostolics like to jump on the story telling bandwagon, and I'd like something more concrete than just someone else's observation that she was dead before I will believe that she actually died. Close to death? That I can believe. Actually dead? I have my doubts.

Thats alright by me. I'm not much into proving anything to anyone. I do know this pastor personally. We are friends. My mom, dad, and 2 sisters were there. I personally know the 2 medical professionals that attended her, and are members of the church.

LaGirls post is completely accurate as far as the eye witnesses that were there are concerned. If you choose to believe this as somewhat differnet than offered, be my guest. I am not offended.
