2 Major requests
 

I have 2 prayer requests I want to come to my AFF family with

First of all my aunt (actually my husbands) just finished her chemo and radiation therapies for cancer about 4 months ago. Well she went to the dr about 2 weeks ago because there were some odd symptoms showing up. They did some tests and so on. Came back to her with 2 possible options. 1 it is either MRSA which can be very bad in her situation or 2 it could be a relapse of the breast cancer. But if it is its the most progressive and lethal there is and it only gives you a couple of months to live. The dr then said he wanted her to see her surgeon and radiation dr this past monday. The only thing either one of them came up with was oh lets wait another 2 weeks and see if we see any changes!!!! Well I guess you now see our concern?! If it is the cancer. Well her time will be very limited in 2 more weeks and something we just arent ready to deal with. she is 44 yrs old and a wonderful woman who has done so much for her family. Now her family comes and reaches out to others and asks that yall please pray for her..



Prayer request 2

We have an Ankle monster here in Dallas and its getting old! Seriously... My husband got called in to work a few hours early on Tues because one of his drillers had fell at work and crushed his ankle. So that was not good and he may be on permenant disability because of this. So that was on Tues. Well the night before my kids were in the backyard helping my oldest daughter practice for her first volleyball game and first my son fell against the fence and got a splinter which was about 2 inches long and very thick in his hand and it cut his hand from top to bottom as he slid down against the fence.

Then my oldest daughter fell and landed on her knee oddly and it sounded as if she had broke her knee however that did heal up quickly and she was ok by morning. Still not sure what she did. So now I have son and daughter in the house both whining that they are hurt and as we all sit we hear a blood curdling scream from outside. My youngest was still playing volleyball and fell and we thought sprained her ankle. Brought her in and layed her down. It eased up a little over night. We wrapped it and she went on to school. Came home crying that it was swelling up and hurting. Unwrapped it and it swelled up to the size of a mini cantalope. So we took her to the dr and it had a severe sprain and hairline fracture. So she has been in an boot to immobilize it all week. Well this morning she was asleep on her airbed and her sister went in her room to wake her for church and didnt see her foot hanging off the bed. Tripped and twisted her ankle and so we just got back from the ER.. it is fractured in 4 places now!!!!! Not to mention my best girl friend from church fell last week and broke her ankle and her sister also fell and broke hers the same day and then fell on this past friday night and broke her other ankle!!!! Someone please pray away the ankle monster! This is indeed getting old!

Jaids is... Coren tripped over it this morning and the 1 small break is now 4!!!! UGH!!! Needless to say I dont think they will be removing anything tomorrow! She was so excited. When she went to bed she said yay mom I get this off on Monday! NOT NOW!

I gotta go get my big kids from church...Its sad I am almost afraid to go anywhere! Afraid I am gonna get hurt too! I dunno anymore LOL

Oh poor baby!

I don't think so either. lol I think she's stuck with that silly boot for awhile now.

Call me if you need to. lol I have woes to take your mind off of your woes if you want. :tease Or I can listen and try not to laugh at your children.... They've had quite a week.

The childrens pastor at our church had foot surgery Friday and is in a boot on his foot as well now... It looked absolutely hysterical yesterday because ironically we all 4 walked in church together. ROFL people were even taking out their cell phones and taking pics. We didnt even notice we were all talking and then noticed we had a lot of unwanted attention. Just had to laugh it off big time.

Just got home from getting more xrays done waiting on the results of them yay!

Ok thanks you all so much for the prayers. Got one more to add to the mix here. She decided she thought she would be able to ride a bike with the boot on her foot (still not sure what possessed this wonderful way of thought) and was riding her friends bike. Got to going too fast and went down a hill and the bike went one way and she went the other...She hit concrete and slid... it is a horrible 7 inch by 4 inch cut down her side... we ran to the dr this morning to get it looked at. All I was able to do was clean it with peroxide and put neosporin on the guaze pads I put on it... She screamed so bad someone would have thought I was killing her. So we rushed to the dr and they inform me after doing some kind of skin test something or another that not only is it infected its a 2nd degree burn from the slide across the concrete. Burnt to badly to put silvadine on so we are just doing the best with what we can. She cant start her PT yet for the ankle because of the burn soooooooooooo say a prayer.

There are other things going on too not with her but me and just keep us in prayer please. This isnt really a good time around here at all.

Ok for a lil more info. Just got off the phone w her dr. The burn is a very high 2nd degree burn and what it has done is taken off all but the bottom layer of skin.. so when she moves the bleeding is coming from the one left layer of skin tearing. So they are hoping this burn bandage will 1 hold it still for now among other things. One thing I did forget to say earlier is there are actually 2 parts that are not covered by skin at all. My dr informed me his call will be followed by a call later this evening from a plastic surgeon. They are thinking they are going to have to do a skin graft because of the area where the burn is (right at the bend of the hip start of the thigh) and so every time she bends her leg it bends the skin and with the skin trying to form a new layer what it is instead doing is ripping the layer she has left causing at times near uncontrollable bleeding.

Just an update on the baby girl..

There is of course much pain but that is to be expected with a burn of this degree. They cannot give her Codene as she is deathly allergic to it so we are rotating the Motrin and Tylenol and seem to be doing ok. She did make it to school today and the nurse is giving me hourly updates as she goes in and checks on her every few min. They are just doing their best to keep everyone away from her and not touching her at all. It was a really freaky moment when we got there and her whole class decided they wanted to hug her and we heard one scream and they all backed off LOL... kind of freaked me out but her worse I think. She explained to them WITHOUT showing her scars and they all just oooed and ahhhed and said ok air hugs! So I think now with her class knowing it will go a little smoother. The nurse said it was funny watching her go to computer lab. 2 of the girls said hey lets build a hedge around you... so they walked with 4 kids around her to "protect" her and they would talk and say ok walk over this way so you dont hit this.. walk this way now... LOL

Now that I am destressing I am gonna try and go get some groceries and a nap.. havent rested since this happened on Sunday so about ready for a bottle of Vicodin and a few pills of some strong drink! LOL KIDDING!!!!

I didnt studddeeerrrr LOL.... I am so tired that it wasnt funny at first but then got funnier and yea yea I know I should delete it but even my baby would laugh at this time... SHe looked at me this morning and said Mom are you sure I am allergic to that pain med? I said yep.. she said well what will it do? I said well last time you took it it almost killed you! She said welll thats about the same as this so can I try it! I said huh!? She said NO I dont want to die but if it just almost killed me can we try it and see if it just almost does it again cus I need to quit hurting and if it doesnt kill me all the way I will be ok!!!

THATS MY WEEK FOR YA!!!!
