Pastor Appreciation Day
 

October 12th is Pastor Appreciation Day. Do something special for the gift of God in your life.

Also, post what you will do and give others ideas. I will give my Pastor a card with cash in it. I figure why buy a "thing" that he may or may not like.

We are having a special service and then they will be taken out to eat and the church will give them a card with a money in it.

We've all been contacted and asked to bring a card for our pastor next week. We were encouraged to include a gift with the card.

I liked Saint Appreciation Day, when the pastor and his wife made Banana Splits for the whole assembly...

My pastor's appreciation day was his b-day, I got him a neck rest pillow from Brookstone (it worked out well, because that same day, he had a flight to Brazil).

yeah, did you realize that the word "pastor" is not even found in the King James New Testament?
and, the only place the word "pastors" is found is in Ephesians 4:11?
and, only one person is called an evangelist in the New Testament (Acts 21:8)?
and several people are called teacher and/or prophet?
and over twenty people (including a woman) are called apostles?

Oh, well, it doesn't hurt to show appreciation twice, does it? You should be acknowledging his birthday anyway--that's just being a good friend. :)

Send him a card with a hand-written note of appreciation inside, and the cost is about $3 for a blank-inside card, and .42 for a stamp. (Or however much stamps cost these days--I can't keep up.)

Hand written notes are so much better than poems or prose written by strangers, and then a quickly scrawled signature underneath.

Im sure your right.. I pray & fast over many things but never devoted a whole day of prayer and fasting just towards my pastor. He has always been in my prayers.

Many Pastors have failed and then are criticized by the masses. I wonder how many times this could have been avoided if the people they Pastored kept them in diligent prayer and fasting?
