a gold necklace is wrong but a cloth necklace (necktie) is OK, even required for a preacher

it's wrong for a woman to shave parts of her body but a man must shave his face

Well, I'd rather see a woman's legs than a man's legs.

How about the preacher who was pontificating with righteous indignation because he had seen a man out cutting his grass and the man did not have on a shirt. As the preacher waxed eloquent and hit a heavy anointing railing about nakedness he said, "Why, I'd rather see a woman with no blouse than to see a man with no shirt." Most of the men were afraid to say "amen."

Saying organized sports are wrong, but playing all of them, following them in the newspaper, and watching them on tv (when nobody's looking), and discussing who is in the Super Bowl, #1, World Series, et.-also very hypocritical.

The folks who have most to say about love and mercy have the least of it. Honestly they are NOT studying prophecy they are fulfilling prophecy "like being dispisers of those who are good." They love the world and desire to be like the world because they are of the world.

Jesus was gentle towards the adulterer, the tax collector, was a public associate of the wine bibbers....

He had very little in kind words for hypocrites. Legalists = Hypocrites imo.

The Bible says they make their converts twice the son of hell.


The Bible says they (paraphrased) they keep others out of Heaven when they themselves aren't going.


The Hypocrites = Legalists killed Jesus, our Savior!

So forgive me if I come across a little harsh when describing folks who fit the Bible's description "whited sepulchers who are filled with dead men's bones".


Yet, even for the legalist, there is mercy, when we repent.
