The man doing the majority of the preaching is a man named Paris Reidhead the message is really quite famous,

"Ten Shekels and a Shirt"

here is the link you can read the transcript or listen to it. Very powerful!

Has anyone else ever heard this message before?

This is the type of thing that can start a nationwide revival that moves beyond church members to the culture. It has not happened on a great scale in my lifetime. I truly believe every person I meet and see is a current candidate for the the gospel, "the power of God unto salvation!" Let the intercession roll!!!

I hadn't heard that message before but the revival on the Scottish Isle of Lewis was written about in this online magazine and I did a search on the preacher and found this other site a couple of days ago. I was delighted to see the youtube video link you posted.

God has moved like that in other revivals. Why not us, why not now? He is no respecter of persons/impartial to all. And He is the same today as He was in the book of Acts or at any other time.

It reminds me somewhat of the description of the Welsh revival in Norman Grubbs book about Rees Howells.

Wow. This is INCREDIBLE.

Find 35 minutes, make 35 minutes, whatever it takes to listen to this. It's absolutely incredible.

LOL! If you put it that way...I owe someone who was picking on me. I was sitting here clicking randomly waiting for someone to post something...and stumbled on this.

I need to watch it 2 or 3 more times, every week maybe. lol It's everything I've been pondering lately, shifts in perception, all packaged up more powerfully than anything I've seen or heard in quite awhile.

I am taking a temporary study break. I am being very, very good today and have already read my complete study guide once through. I will be prepared for this test before noon, the earliest I have the opportunity to go take it.

I have a LIST. You should see my list. It will all be crossed off before the end of the day. It involves MUCH homework. lol

You know, the homework I didn't do yesterday, all day.

So did you watch the video? Can you do that at work? Watch it when you get home if you can't. You really need to watch this.

WOW!!!!I asked the lord once,"why is this so hard? No one wants to hear about you Jesus they all laugh at me for talking about you and they dont want to be around me and I hear the wispers in the hall. This is what I heard from God. When I asked you to pick up your cross and follow me did you think this would be easy? The cross is heavy and, the road is rocky and, long.We are a living sacrifice and, we are never alone. JESUS deserves his reward.Where is the revival in America?Have we put him on the shelf because of our wealth and medical science has gotten so good that America thinks she doesent need him?Has God become second fiddler?Thousands and, thousands are getting the holyghost in Ethiopia and other countries.Miricles without number are being preformed in these places.I asked God about this. They dont need me ?

My wife and I watched it together and were both stirred. I am embarrassed by my self-centered outlook on God's Grand Plan. Powerful!

Raven, I was crying tears of shame while listening...how often have I attempted to "use" God to better myself as a person, or to better my life, or the lives of my children. Or, even when asking for His guidance, expecting Him to only guide me to greener pastures, or places that will make my life better and more prosperous?

I feel deeply convicted.

Speaking of Synadelfos, it's been down for a day or so. Anybody know, is it coming back?

A true move of God moves people for reasons they cannot grasp.

The absence of said revival requires a contract to be signed to keep the very leaders of the church in order.

Very true, D4T. It's the need or perceived need of such a contract that is rather sad. However, that doesn't place the fault for the contract on the shoulders of the leadership requesting the agreement alone. It also places a lot of blame on the shoulders of uncommitted saints who need to be asked to *promise* they will be Christians at all times. :oops
