Amen we have only been back here but a bit.The church here is a great witness of what the bible can actually do if taught.
The saints here have a great bible knowledge and are just awesome. The church recently went through a rocking but Jesus knows what to do and its back and more powerful than ever.
The current Senior pastor Brian Kinsey and his wife are from Louisiana as well as I am.She and I are from the same home towns......Do you hear that NLYP?????? Franklin,La.Just a little over from Morgan City.
I have actually preached in Morgan City when Brother Taylor was the Pastor.

I have very fond regard for Sis. Shirley Welch and I'll tell you why later when I have the time. :)

I will post the one picture I got before my camera battery died.I was so disapointed but I had a great time. They have DVD's and a special tribute DVD that Brother Hal and Gary Kennedy made of the services. The one of
Brother Welch is fifteen dollars and the service one is five.It was awesome!
You guys should have heard Brother Tony Boyd sing. They had a blessing ceremony at the end of the service where Brother and Sis.Welch laid hands on Brother and Sis.Kinsey that had us all crying.God is so good.Brother Jimmy Mitchell presented the Welches with an awesome gift with his years of service to Fl Dist engraved on it.The church presented him with an iron cast of an Eagle with gold talons catching a fish that one of the Brothers who is a sculptor made plus and all expense paid fishing trip and gave Sister Welch
a cruise to any location she chooses. The choir sang and we all worshipped the one true God.If anyone else went post and let me know.I may have seen you there but would not have recognized you.The church is large and with the visitors there it was full with cars parked all the way to the road.

I forgot all about this.

When we were in HK far away from conferences, retreats, and fellowship I received a package in the mail one day with a letter and some tapes, and a bulletin from Sis. Welch and the church there.

In the bulletin she had mentioned about doing a series of lessons with the women called "Becoming A Woman of Excellence" and that they were being taped.

I wrote her and thanked her for the packet she had sent me - that the tapes were inspirational and an encouragment and asked her if there was any possibility that she might be able to send me tapes of the series she was teaching and that I'd be more than happy and willing to pay for them.

She sent me the whole deal - transcripts of the lessons taught and the tapes included. I still have them! That meant so much to me I can tell you.

We corresponded back and forth a bit after that and then later I had a chance to meet and chat with her at a ladies event held in my home district.

Kindness extended to you like that is never forgotten and so Sis. Shirley Welch has always occupied a special place in my heart! I hope and trust God has rewarded her for the kindness and generosity extended to me by this lady. :)

When we were married this was my husbands home church. They gave us such a wedding shower it was unbelievable. We had a pickup truck and had to go down and get a tarp to carry it all home they gave us so much.
When we had our first child they gave us a baby shower and gave the baby over a hundred outfits.I don't know if anyone is familiar with Polly Finder dresses but we got a truckload of that.
